Do not use the STRAIGHT TICKET option to vote. Take time and fill in all the little circles. In Michigan, if you use the straight ticket option, anything marked below the first box overrides the straight ticket option. They can alter your ballot and you just voted for Biden, clean and easy.

Yep. I always avoid the partisan choice in Michigan, and vote directly for whom I'm voting for, for the very reason the OP mentioned.
Indiana and Michigan have straight ticket voting.
I filled in every damn circle here in Michigan.
Same.
I voted yesterday.
There were several local races where a Democrat was running unopposed.
I just skipped them entirely.
A Republican may be a pedophile.
A Democrat WILL be a pedophile.
Lol, I did the same. By giving them a vote in an unopposed race, they can point back and say look at all the votes I got last election. Gives them the increased ability to cheat in future elections.
Or maybe write in "Pepe."
In what states does this option even exist? In Hellinois we've always had to go through one by one and check everything.
I'm sure Arizona doesn't have a straight ticket. They have a 4 page ballot with over 70 choices this year! Bastards.
now you tell me...
We voted in Texas on day 1, October 21st. And learned that Texas recently passed a law that ended straight ticket voting here!
Look at a sample ballot online before you vote so you are not surprised.
Used to be able to vote straight ticket in Texas. Republicans got it changed.
So THAT'S why the option was missing this time. Weird.
Gut feeling says this was a swamp decision rather than a party decision.
Bidens not running in this race
I noticed that on my Michigan ballot I filled out Republican ballot and followed up by selecting all the Republicans because I didn't trust them
That's just common sense. Only an idiot would votr straight ticket. From my experience talking with people, most voters straddle that middle line and have values from both parties.
Who DOES that??? There was one uncontested race with only a demon rap running. If we had a straight ticket option here - we don't -- I would have been unable to leave that oval blank as I did.
Yeah, okay, some idiot and felonious pollster could fill it in, but I'm just sayin' . . .
Kentucky has straight party option - I voted this morning
