I had trepidation about this nomination because Pete didn't have any real executive experience in managing a large organization. After hearing him on a podcast I'm liking him more and more. He is gonna be a lot like Homan, just get in there and get the job done and don't worry about any flak from SJW's. If the Generals don't want to go in his direction, get rid of them. Once a Major makes Colonel a curious thing occurs. Well maybe not so curious. Many of the less talented become political animals, pressing for that next promotion to General. There are relatively few positions in the General Staff, so many are willing to sacrifice that last ounce of integrity and patriotic duty to make the final grade. They join the compromised.
A lot of Generals and Colonels will be 'retiring'. Obama fired all the real Patriots and replaced them with ideologues and sycophants. Now its Petes turn.
This is Petes mandate -- return the General Staffs underlying motivation to that of Duty, Honor, Sacrifice, Patriotism. For those worried about Petes lack of running large organizations, theres an easy fix. You make your deputy hires expert in just such endeavors. Then Pete can concentrate on what he has been hired to do. Clean up the General Staff and return it to the ideals of a Patriot.
Most of those 4 stars are useless political hacks anyway. Good riddance. They serve no purpose and someone from the lower ranks knows that better than anyone.

Talking head? Princeton and Harvard degrees. Tours in Guantanamo, Iraq, Afghanistan. Combat Infantrymans Badge. A real one not some fake medal the political animals receive for simply being in theater.
