Seems like he sees a forecast of stormy weather ahead. 3 months? Probably didn't figure on Trump winning.
Sure, it could be that, but in the absence of evidence that he's a black hat, let's not jump to denigrating his service. Life happens sometimes. Maybe a loved one got a bad health diagnosis or something similar.
Fair enough. But him being in the Naval legal system is not an auspicious connection. For me to have a good day does not mean I need to carve out his heart, so Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I'm sitting here shaking my head with a not so great feeling, all while reading your response. Got a gut feeling you may be right and that leaves me with question after question. Many thanks for your reply Killer' I had somewhat of the same idea myself... just didn't want to think that kind of person was still in a place to utilize that much power. Might end up being a good thing after all. I'm sure we'll find out as Trump put it π
Plenty of high-ranking rotten officers (e.g., General Mark Milley). Sometimes retreat is the better part of valor. I don't know anything about VADM French, except the conspicuous timeline.
very good point. looking forward to Trump actually "cleaning house" this time. π
Who appoints this position?

This will somewhat both puzzle and blow your mind: Congress appointed him. Biden nominated him.

you and me both. -the gif says it all; literally. π
If one canβt follow their leader, it is best to resign.
agreed π―% -cheers Hope' -appreciate it. π»
Likewise to you, friend.
Did they have battalions of lawyers do a march past for the ceremony? π
Also, how do military lawyers get so many medals? π€ͺ
It did. Along with a full-blown music video as well lol - then,.. 3 months down the road "I quit" wthβ again, very confusing and does not give me a feeling of 'everything's alright.'
Sometimes you get the promotion, and don't realize the level of work shift you just volunteered for - for ~$10k a year. The extra work isn't worth the extra money (and taxes) you are paying.
It takes many years to organize your day, so that performing a leadership role, looks easy. It's not.
Why does he want a lower rank? It's not like that will change anything that will happen.
It all depends how long he served as a 3-star admiral. There's a minimum amount of time they must serve at the higher rank in order to "retire" at the higher rank. That's done, I believe, partly to keep them in. They don't want to promote someone to a higher rank just to have them "retire" the next day or in this case within 3 months. So his retirement pay will be less than if he'd served the minimum amount of time at the higher rank.
But you still get to retire at the higher rank, even if you do so the day after promotion. Only the pay is affected, as you described.
Which makes the "retiring at a lower rank" thing seem super odd.
maybe lower rank of pay and the reporter perhaps got it wrong. IDK.
OK that sounds right - I'm a little rusty on my military protocol (I retried an 0-5 in 96!)
exactly. that's the scary part. sorta' says it without saying it for me.
I don't follow.
Simply put, he'd need to work a certain amount of time before hie would be eligible for the full pension at the higher rank.
So he wants to be re-lowered so he can get his pension? That's understandable.
Not sure how this is newsworthy, though. Is there some corruption I'm missing?
I look at it as notable. It is an Atypical thing, at this level certainly, I'd think.
French was the legal architect of much of the vaccine purge and spent most of his time providing the legal advice that gave DON the green light to go after service members who were loyal to the constitution.
Appears he was also running cover for much of the corruption involving the Navy. This is a big win for everyone.

He also was previously legal counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chief π€
Any chance it might be personal in nature? Medical illness? Family issues?
I do not know but still have friends that are in that might and I guarantee you after reading this will ask. -that being said, yes -I'll definitely say something here when/if I can. ππ» many thanks for the reply CMAnon'
Somebody told him to clear out amd make room for trumps guy. He is still a lawyer son maybe the traitors need him for their defense.
my wife and I are still gettin' down laughing at the son part. ππ you bet, very well put on the makin' room for our Man Trump. He can't get in here fast enough. Many thanks for the reply and the wife says she needed that laugh as well, made us feel young again. God bless and thank you again Sog'. cheers π»
Does he have a reputation for being corrupt or part of the deep state?
researching as we speak. update when I can. Since biden nominated him sorta gives me a direction to go in so far as what to think.
His name has been coming up often in the Realrawnews posts lately.
Yes, I read that shit and no, I can't verify it.
you and me both π cheers ποΈrighteye' π»
I do not like this and have questions - answers are more than welcome considering Vice Admiral Crandall just retired. This makes no sense. π€·ββοΈ
Real Raw News is not a credible source btw.
Maybe, but people say that about Q as well.
Look at the disclaimer: https://realrawnews.com/about-us/

They put up a story that Rochelle Walensky was hanged. That same day she was testifying in congress.
Q uses the Socratic method therefore you do your own research. I would't necessarily describe Q as delivering news.
It's ok. I fell for the RRN bullshit too early on.
This was my first thought as well.
That pence trial better be worth it.
we thought the same thing, exact same thing. I hope we hear something soon. Until then i'll do nothing but come up with horrible scenerios in my head and use that as an excuse to further my enjoyment of vodka, coffee and milk... - it's justified. don't judge. ππ cheers!π»
