I live in Russia, and I can tell you that it’s not hard to find Russians to have very GAW-type conversations with. The main challenge is that they often think that their TV news is distorting the truth about the west when it’s actually very based and accurate. Not perfect but you can actually get accurate information from watching it.
I don't blame them for being skeptical of all news outlets. It's a wise mindset to have considering the propaganda the Russian people had endured in the past and the propaganda currently being peddled in the west.
Would LOVE to hear more commentary from you, Anosha!
We have so many pedes from around the world on GAW and I for one really enjoy getting your perspectives on events.
Regarding this statement:
"The main challenge is that they often think that their TV news is distorting the truth about the west when it’s actually very based and accurate."
I would love to hear an example or two of this if you have time.
Thanks for your kind words. It was worst when we had just moved to Russia right before the pandemic started. I said that the US would collapse. A response I got was, sure, we have been expecting that for a long time, but why do you think it is now? People from the Donbass understood why we moved but not too many others.
After the pandemic more people understood. Then after the special military operation started there has been MUCH less confusion about this.
I don’t know how to condense the thing about Russian news to anecdotes, it’s just that the accurate coverage of the western dumpster fire feels like biased propaganda to a skeptical citizen.
I was born during the Truman Administration. And it constantly amazes me how the nation with the greatest freedom of thought these days is Russia.
I recall how, in the Sixties, the American psychic Jeanne Dixon predicted that there would be a great religious revival that would come from Russia. So I guess anything is possible.
Perhaps the most frustrating thing back in early 2020 was the number of Trump voters who refused to believe that the election could have been rigged. A lot of well-meaning people who just didn't want to accept living in a world where a Presidential election could be stolen right in front of them.
It is gratifying that we've reached a point now where there's broad understanding that the election was stolen. But my oh my was it maddening at the time.
And probably a lot of overlap between the people who couldn't believe a Presidential election was rigged and people who couldn't believe that the Western medical industry would knowingly poison us with C19 "vaccines".

Russia. Must have good text books..
and no retarded kids with pink and blue hair.
Hello from a GAW member in Russia! There’s some of that but it’s much more like the gothic stuff that was in the US a generation ago.
I think Russia teaches Aristotle's rhetoric. They are trying to make smart young men and women.
Good approach
Top KEK ! This deserves a sticky.
Seconded /mods Someone will know how to OCR an image and lang tran it.
Someone already did it, but FYI translation apps do this.
They know.

Agreed. Imagine their surprise when an American moves into their neighborhood and tells them it’s all true!
The girl I work with is from Russia and her entire family is still in Russia.

I learn so much from her about Russia.

Many Americans knew the election was rigged just ask the J-6 prisoners who gave their lives to say it.
wow!
They should make English versions for us to buy.
No, I don't trust anyone anymore. I need to learn Russian and translate it for myself.
Sucks a little doesn't it. Better than the trust I used to have for those who never deserved it, I suppose.
Good idea. I have thought about that for years. I hear they have good fishing.
Da.
Now we partially understand why the regime hates Russia with some kind of obsession.
At least translate it for us
Russian text books are correct.

It had to be this way or we would not be where we are today. look at all the rino's that exposed themselves. It was a long 4 years of hell.

We all know what happened!
