I dumped Costco when they were the first to jump on the maskwagon. I see they have not improved.
Agreed...its like a cattle-shoot in there. You are treated like a number and funneled in to pay. Wife and I both agreed last time were were there never will go again.
I don't care if a pay a little more for my groceries; a little human interaction is well worth a couple extra bucks being spent.
i feel bad for all the fools who bought gold from costco.
They purchased an asset that has since appreciated in value. In what backwards logic would you feel bad for them?
There are some non-critical workplaces where it doesn't matter if they practice DEI, and stocking shelves and checking out customers is one of them. It's not brain surgery or flying an airplane, so no one will die from COSTCO errors and inefficiency.
I say leave them to their own form of incompetence and let the market (the customers) decide. There's always Sam's and other big box discount outlets.
Yes, and the ones making these decisions are DEI's.... let them suffer with the burden they created.
What? First off dei is race and sex based hiring and should be illegal . I can’t just hire white males only ? Well if I base it off of skill I can but not if I set out to only Hire white males. Also they’re doing this because it’s leverage to keep their employee pay lower. DEI should be illegal. They can DEI my nutsack.
Yes, we know all this. But I pick my battles and this isn't one of them, it's a distraction as far as I'm concerned. COSTCO will sink or swim based on its own poor choices, and I honestly don't care if they DO sink. Everywhere else in America and parts of Europe, DEI is already withering on the vine, but if COSTCO wants to cling to that outmoded business model, I don't care. Like I said, let them sink or swim and get what they deserve, like Bud Lite and Jaguar.
Seems right.
Do they have a pharmacy though? I know Sams does.
...follow up... they do have a pharmacy, but it's probably manned by gay elves.
😁
Oh yeah, they do.
Weird, I see way more white males working at my local costco than any sam's and walmart combined.
**"Costco said its DEI efforts help the company attract and retain a wide range of employees and improve merchandise and services in stores. Costco also said its*members want to interact with a diverse employee base." *
I for one have no desire to interact with a diverse employee base. I want someone who speaks and understands my language, has a work ethic and doesn't act like I am interrupting their social media time.
**“Among other things, a diverse group of employees helps bring originality and creativity to our merchandise offerings, promoting the ‘treasure hunt’ that our customers value,” *
Really?!?! I don't want to HUNT for treasures when I shop. Who has time to do that?
Sounds like they are run by retards.🙄
DEI is a cancer. It promotes nothing, it’s expensive to operate, it destroys employee morale
Some are just too stupid to see what they have done; until profits crash. Look at Boeing as an example
I may be venturing away from the herd here, but I genuinely believe if you go woke you go broke works. So I plan to double down and quit going completely until they reverse course on DIE (same initials just the appropriate order).
I am a card carrying Costco member. I have noticed over the years if there is a "recall" of any food item going on in the countr,y, they are in up to their eyeballs way more than 50 % of the cases. How is it they manage to be in these recalls more than ANY of the grocery chains? That seems mathmaticaly impossible to me.
Then I will buy from Sam’s and BJ’s.
Stopped Costco when they went full nazi mode during COVID. I use an organization called Azure Standard. Clean food, and no big warehouse shopping. I absolutely recommend as an alternative!
And all the years I’ve been going to Costco, I’ve never seen one DEI higher. You work at Costco you actually have to work. 😂😂😂
Haha.. I agree. All the Costco I've been to it's majority or all white folks. Hard work..those DEI stay away.
Yeah, you pretty much have to bust your ass if you’re working at Costco. It’s all moving goods, and then dealing with people. It’s real work.
However; I was talking to my mom the other day, telling her that they would be the first ones to institute. The you can’t buy without the mark of the beast. They’re already having you scan your card now and showing your face and they just look at your face on the scanner, which is basically your face right in front of them so why do they need to do that so stupid? They were the first to put the mask mandates in full effect. They had people walking around the store making sure you pull it up over your nose. It wouldn’t have been that big of a deal if it wasn’t for the fact that I live on Kawaii part time, and they only have one Costco and one Walmart. You’re kind of stuck with those two stores and a couple local markets and some Safeway’s
When we went to Costco during the covid thing they implemented the mask mandate for like maybe 4 weeks and then it was like F it.. nobody cared anymore.
We passed by an Indian family, must be all 5 generations of them came to Costco and the kids running around with their snots and stuff.. It was fine. I think stores do certain things in the beginning for fear of lawsuits or whatnot. Also it depends on the individual store and the managers running it too.
The picture thing, I think it's because people always lend their costco cards to their friends. Now you have to show your costco credit card with picture. I bet the hawaii Costco has sushi and sashimi, must be nice.
Funny thing is, I slammed all my cards and ID in the door of my car by accident, and my Costco card broke. All happened when I was in Kauai I had to get a new Costco card there and it’s the most prettiest picture of me I’ve ever seen. They have an ocean and palm tree background and I just colored my hair a light shade of blue and it looks so pretty. I’m still pleased with myself and that Costco card. 🥰
But yes, Hawaii was very militant with all of the Covid entanglements. My first trip staying with my family for a month, was in 2020. I didn’t sign up for that stupid app where they track you, so the National Guard literally showed up to our house every day around two in the afternoon to make sure I was still at home 😲
Thing is they live on this golf course and they have like five extra lots next to their house that they purchased, so I was able to walk around outside as much as I wanted. I still see people in Hawaii wearing masks on a beautiful gorgeous sunshiny day. Outside. It’s so disheartening sometimes. 😵💫
I know.. there are still people wearing masks in my area too.. mostly blacks.. I spoke to one while checking out at the counter and joked I can't breathe in one of those.. she was older and said she lives with her mom and she was sick or something. I said hope she gets well soon, take care. Whatever I guess..
Hawaii is one of the most liberal states so I'm not surprised they went totalitarian. I think it was also an experiment of control in the tiny island to see if people comply and such. Too bad because Hawaii is so beautiful.
I don't think it's an accident that the company that bases its revenue on a yearly subscription is slow to fix this.
Folks who have to respond month-to-month to the zeitgest are getting the message faster. Adapt or die.
Let's revisit this next year, with Costco.
Companies say all sorts of things.. but whenever I'm at Costco it's all white folks..hehe..
At some point we really do need to clean out ALL companies' boards of directors. See how many red flags you can catch from this one (if you're so inclined to dig today). Don't forget to hit that right arrow and look at the whole slate of them. The marxist infestation runs deep throughout many (if not most) decent sized firms, like a cancer.

They'll keep doing it until an employee wins a big lawsuit against them. $$ talks.
