It seems many of us have been waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen to hold the deep state traitors accountable, drain the swamp and defeat the global elites. Trump winning the election in a landslide was huge and gave me great hope, but I’ve lost count how many times I’ve hopeful and nothing happens. Feels like the precipice has lasted 8 years with little happening. Is this just how it is? Or are big changes coming?

I think you need to look more closely, and you will see a ton of shit has happened.
True. I suppose a lot of us may have gotten kind of too used to stories, movies etc, where everything does happen at once. Or it looks like it. The hero gets the news of something important out to the people, the whole country rises to oppose the tyrant at once, next thing they storm the palace and now there is a new government and the tyrant is in jail or dead.
But movies have to tell the story in limited runtime. And of course a definitive sudden victory is much more fun to see than "to be continued" at the end, or maybe a screen full of text telling of a slow years long journey towards the end goal which the hero of the story may not even live long enough to see.
In real life it rarely happens like in stories. Let's take something like the fall of Soviet Union. When I was young the whole thing still looked about as permanent as Rome must have when there were still a few hundred years left of its rule. But small stuff had been happening for years even by then, and then in the end it needed just a few nudges and that house of cards suddenly fell. But even then it wasn't a sudden change to something perfect, they are still working at that, and the first decades the whole place often seemed more like a total chaos that might have suddenly veered into who knows what direction. Even now it can be hard to tell exactly where they stand, although the reality certainly seems to be better than what the western MSM claims about them. But one question is how much right now maybe depends on Putin staying alive and in power. That guy is getting old.
There may be a sudden preference cascade in your country now with Trump where a lot changes fast. Or maybe not. Maybe it will just be more and more smaller changes, until suddenly maybe you start to notice that hey, it's all a lot better now. Or maybe not even that good, and all will seem like a constant chaos for years as the old regime is pushed aside and the new one slowly gets more and more control over things.
But the main thing is that for you it seems to be getting better. Your gun rights seem to be mostly safe for now, compared to what you had back in the 90s. Your culture seems to be shifting towards MAGA ideals, and I think what Breitbart said is very valid: "politics is downstream of the culture". Trump did get his second term, and seems to have several potential successors who may be able to continue what he started even if he himself will not be able to finish the process. And so on. At least looking from the outside it looks like at the very least you do no longer risk backsliding into where you were during the Obama years.
Even if the White Hats really have had a plan, and even if they really have been able to stick to it for most of the time, the saying that "no battle plan will survive contact with the enemy" is still valid too. They may end up having to change the plan, if they haven't already. Even if they by now really have gotten in that "checkmate" position on the board, where in the end they will win no matter what, the last moments of the game can still bring surprises to them.
Lots of intelligent, well thought out, nicely constructed points in you reply. Thank for communicating you thinking to me.
First thing I though of when I read your line, "the end goal which the hero of the story may not even live long enough to see", was I got a vision of two labors working on building the great pyramids sitting together during lunch break when one of them says, "This building is going no where." But then five generation of workers go by, and we have a pyramid. If you stair at a minute hand on a clock, you can't see it move, but look away for an hour and it's gone one full circle. Live with a child, and you can't see them grow without putting pencil marks against a door, but go away for a month, and when you return you scarcely recognize them.
Maybe it's the same with us who daily stair at the latest new, events of what is happening. Things change in such small increments that we can't see the degree of change.
Given enough time, anyone's odds of survival goes to zero. If you think that your life will be to live a little while, then die, then fade into oblivion, and you are content with that state of affairs, that as good an outcome as any.
The most famous people ever to live, are just dust. Who thinks about John D. Rockefeller, who turns on a light in remembrance of Thomas Edison. Who when taking off on a jetliner whispers word of praise for the accomplishments of Orville, and Wilbert. Live life to the fullest, we've heard it said. Why? A full lived life, and the life of a do nothing vagabond both are forgotten equally over time.
Disclaimer: At this point in my life I am at a low water mark in my feeling about the "life matters" thing.
I do have faith in Jesus Christ, and believe the only part of this life that matters is our faith, and our lives lived by faith that get us into the eternal.
Change is a process, not an event.
I used to tell my ex-girlfriend that.
4 years is a short political time. President Trump plans on hitting the ground running. There’s an 18 month plan. Maximum improvement before the midterms.
We'll soon know. My own personal opinion is that if what we all kind of thought, at least the various versions of arrests and system resets, is going to occur at all it's going to be at the beginning of his term not at the end. He has a short window of opportunity. So we'll know one way or the other shortly.
I agree. If arrests don’t happen fast, we’ve been misled.
Didn’t GEOTUS say it will happen very quickly? At a rally he said, “ On Inauguration day I will have a tiny desk at the top of the stairs so that I can start working for the American people immediately!”

Just because things didn't happen the way you wanted or expected doesn't mean things aren't happening. I have watched hundreds if not thousands of the elite in politics and hollywood go down, either by death or this ozempic thing or being held accountable for something that they did.
In the beginning of all of this (Q posts and Trump getting elected in 2016) I kept wondering why I was getting so worked up for major things to happen when any plan to really take down the cabal and the deep state would have to require a number of years to make happen, very highly planned and strategic, and then a plan for a dynasty of leaders that will continue holding people accountable for their criminality in government for a long time going forward. It can't happen overnight.
I still think a dark time could happen unless the white hats continue to be successful in preventing it.
