What is pretty infuriating is that not only did a similar incident recently occur (in Germany?), but virtually the EXACT same thing happened many years ago in New York city. As a result of that, NYC put up heavy-duty concrete barriers along the walkway to prevent any future vehicles from doing it there again. Bollards could have been installed along the entrances to Bourbon street for a minimal cost (compared to the cost of a human life!) and such bollards can be made to be retractable. The cost of incompetence on the part of public, taxpayer funded, individuals and organizations is also infuriating!
We usually just throw out conspiracy theories saying these folks who pull off these attacks had federal help... this time they actually were trained and lived on federal military bases.
Tell me that having our federal government investigate their own for their own terrorist attack isn't a conflict of interest here?
