I remember a home remodeling tv show from the 90’s had a segment about a Portland home and an antique restoration company was doing some work on lamps for the home where they featured the town and the company. They showed downtown and a lot of Portland. I remember thinking OMG, that’s a beautiful town.
The owner of the shop said “Yes, Portland is great but please don’t move here. We are full.”
