Your bro should be drinking lots of water but with a pinch of sea salt added, in other words, consuming saline. There's a reason for putting ill people on saline in an emergency. Also please call your closest health food store and ask if they have Chanca Piedra drops. Makes kidneys and bladders so so happy. Durvet ivermectin paste is super. No worries, fren
Cranberry juice. All day. If cranberry juice is to much go Crangrape juice. It’ll knock out most kidney pains I’ve ever had. And what I always ask myself is, can he find a comfortable position? Could it be a muscle is what I’m saying. If he can sit in a recliner sideways, kinda stretching his side, does it get better? Worse? Still tho, get that juice.
Yea I was thinking more the lines of flushing the kidneys and that juice does great. It’s possible that Ivermectin is getting rid of lots of stuff he doesn’t need through his kidneys and could have an infection. Always good to drink with ivermectin. It works good and therefore you’re gonna be passing a lot of “poisons”.
100% certain it was the straight ivermectin, not the combo? I'm sorry he's going through that.
It’s the straight horse paste. I’ve taken it too but I have no issues.
Whats the combo??
Some equine dewormers have praziquantel in them. The durvet 1.87 should be just IVM. I've never had an issue with side effects from IVM. Does he have other health issues or had kidney infections or stones in the past? I'm sure other frens can help you with this more than I can.
The combo has some other anti-parasitic. I've never heard of kidney issues. Maybe he's simply dehydrated, or his cold wasn't just a cold? Hopefully someone else can be more helpful.
It’s the Durvet 1.87% ivermectin paste
Ive had major kidney pain while working. Just cut back the dose. He may have heavy toxin load in the kidneys.
The combo has other anti-parasitics in it that don't work well with humans.
The right horse paste has ivermectin as the only active ingredient.
During COVID I did have an RN tell me that Ivermectin is hard on the kidneys. She said this in context of my telling her that my urine was orange for about two months following a bad bout of COVID. And that I was thinking to do a round of Ivermectin. No, I never took the vax and never have regretted that decision. But I had been around a lot of people who had been vaxxed; feared then, still wonder now, if I was subjected to shedding. Anyhow, after my bout with COVID, I got myself Ivermectin and other remedies that follow the vaxed protocol. Still do a round of it whenever I feel COVID-y. But to address your question: my advice is water, water, water. That, and 100% cranberry juice if you can find it. (Not the cocktail stuff on the grocery shelf.) ETA: THIS
Have to take zinc along with the ivermectin. 50mg I think. Could be wrong.
According to this article it might be because the dose is too high.
Have him stop taking it immediately and drink plenty of water. Not Ivermectin directly, but other known anti-parasitics can cause severe kidney problems in some people.
I had this happen the last time I took IVM. Wasn't sure if it was kidneys or liver. It cleared up completely after a few days.
I don't think you should take IVM "for a few days" to get over a cold. Crushed raw garlic is probably more effective for that.
IVM is strong medicine, save it for when you actually need it.
My wife and I take the 12mg tablets 1x day x 7 days about every 6 months or so. Taking it right now due to the prevalence of flu in the area. Never any problems. Why take the paste when you can just buy the tablets?
a lot cheaper to buy the paste.
tablets arent sold OTC in our state.
hoping Trump changes that!!
If the IVM is killing microbes orr parasites, the kidneys, liver, lymph nodes will be overtaxed. Similar to a herx reaction. Maybe have him sweat out impurities in a sauna and give him quality electrolyte/Saline water
If you have prior kidney disease hydrochloroquine and ivermectin should be used with caution.
Stop the IVM. See if pain goes away.
