Or, more likely, his puppet masters won't relent. Pfizer and Budweiser/Bud Light are probably still big sponsors/advertisers, despite the fact they sh!t the bed.
Probably another blood red demonic halftime show planned this year as well.
Exactly. 100% agree. He and his handlers have zero interest in reading the room. Just collecting major coin from the spectators and whatever diabolical sponsors/advertisers push
Im sure most people here will tune into this shitshow.
If I can give up MLB for almost a decade now, you can give up NFL. NFL is a fixed, stupid, and retarded game show. It hasn't been a sport in a long time. WWF wrastlin' is a lot more realistic in my worthless opinion (dont really get into that either, but at least they aren't fucking communists that get off on kneeling).
Just curious, what made you give up MLB? That's the one sport I still follow, bc they don't seem nearly as compromised and I believe 90-95% of the players are conservatives. Do you know the name Jonathan Lucroy? Retired a couple years ago but pulled the curtain on what MLB is really like and how the players do not stand for the rainbow/DEI nonsense.
I guess I am not being fair somewhat ... I was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. I was 6 years old when they last won the World Series. The only memories I have of that are when Kent Tekulve jumped up and down after the final out, the madness on the field, and Jimmy Carter on TV congratulating them (I was told that Willie asked Jimmy for peanuts ... that was no on camera :-)).
I loved watching the team suck in the 80s only to become dominant in the early 1990s. To this day, I literally have love and admiration for Jim Leyland ... the Pirates manager from the mid 80s to the mid 1990s. I used to love listening to him and Lanny Frattare bullshit before games. He is one of those managers that can milk 125% out of his players by using a perfect mix of attitude and respect. He's a lot like Donald Trump in that way though he is a LOT more humble it seems (keep in mind that I love Trump as a wrecking ball :-) ... he's perfect for that role :-) ).
What I didn't love about the Pirates back then is that they should have never lost the NLCS in 1991. 1992 sucked (but made Atlanta fans happy :-) ). 1990 ... they weren't ready. Still, those were 3 awesome seasons of baseball and I actually feel privileged to have seen Barry Bonds during his younger years (I know ... steroids ... to this day, I don't think MLB really cared, but when McGwire and Sosa broke the HR record the same year, they knew they had problems).
When the Pirates finally got their shit back together ~ 2011, the owner, Bob Nutting, a scumbag newspaper tycoon whose primary income is now the Pirates, despite decades of claiming he will spend when the time is right, barely spent anything on a core team that was capable of winning a World Series or two in my worthless opinion. I saw right through the charade and stopped going to games.
People called me a fair weather fan because I kept trashing Nutting (the owner). Now it seems like everyone hates that miserable bastard :-). I think I have enough cred that I followed that team for the love of the game and couldn't care less what the yinzers think :-) (yinzer is Pittsburgh slang for "Pittsburgher" ... its as silly sounding as the corrupt city itself :-)) .
I quit listening to the game when the DEI shit started. No joke, I basically have had baseball on the radio in the background of my life going all the way back to when I was a kid in the late 70s. I couldn't believe it when I realized I didn't listen to a single game in 2019 (the year before that, I think I listened to one ... and that is when Josh Bell came up to the majors).
I love baseball. I sucked at playing it. If I had any talent with the game, it was looking at/analyzing stats :-). Ironically, I call MLB "spreadsheet baseball" these days (I know stat analysis is a lot more than a spreadsheet, but it gets the point across ... "moneyball" fucking sucks).
I don't like being this way about a game that's acutally quite beautiful if you think about it ... it's almost perfect. It didn't need to be wrecked with instant replay and expanded playoffs and designated hitters and fucking "opener" pitchers. The fans wanted that horse shit ... I didn't :-).
I was going to start trying to find Mexican League or Japanese league baseball to fill that hole in my heart. I really don't see myself coming back until Bob Nutting sells the Pirates ... and I know that's never going to happen. That prick is nothing but a glorified welfare recipient. He's going to ask for a lot in 2030 when PNC Park's lease expires. I hope they tell him to fuck off and move the team if I'm being honest ... the Pirates are a perennial joke anymore and will continue to be that way so long as that fucking degenerate owns the team.
It's good to hear that most of the players are not liberal freaks. I met Bonds once back in the early 1990s ... he was a HELL of a lot nicer to the fans than Andy Van Slyke was ... the media always portrayed Bonds as the asshole and Van Slyke as Jesus. Come to think of it, my hatred of the media may have started back then. They always portrayed Bonds as someone that used the race card too much, but if you compare the way they treated him vs "Slick", you'll see that the media was mainly at fault given the horribly stupid questions they'd ask him.
I hope that clarifies my position :-) ... and I apologize for writing a book :-) .
Absolutely no apologies necessary, especially given the context. I have no Pittsburgh roots, but I was YUGE fan of those early 90's Pirates. I can still recite the lineup (Merced, Bell, Van Slyke, Bonilla, Bonds, King, "LaPudge," Lind, Drabek, Wakefield, etc etc). We could probably go on and on for hours on that topic alone. I was a YUGE baseball fan as a youth in the 80s, the 90s Pirates made me fall in love. Only to have that 3-peat of heartbreaks watching them fall to Cincy then the Braves twice. Bream's winning run...I was equal parts shattered and happy (for him, as a former Pirate).
I don't follow the Bucs as religiously anymore, for all the reasons you mention. They could put a competitive team together, but refuse to. It's not bc of "small market" b.s. It's bc ownership is cheap and doesn't care about putting out a decent product, only lining their pockets.
Anyway, I actually ended up playing the game thru college. Once my "career" was over, I kind fell out of love with baseball, right as the steroid era and McGwire/Sosa saga was going on. It just seemed to smear the game, and the "beauty" of it like you said. Plus I was kinda bitter I think bc something I gave so much to was now over for me (wasn't good enough to play past college). So I left baseball (as a fan) for almost 20 years before I had a son, and one thing I could teach him was baseball. He's very into the game now, plays and watches just as I did, so its kinda special to get that feeling back and share it with him.
Appreciate your detailed and personal reply. Brings back good memories.
Then I demand they have more trans players. I demand they have more Asians. More dwarves. More mentally challenged people. Wait, they have that one covered.
well lose your audience and see how that goes for you.
I would like to see a DEI hire play this game against very talented players.....could be entertaining
I finally gave up on the NFL this year. I know, late to the party per usual. But it doesn't actually bring me any happiness, was nothing more than a pastime in the end. Kind of makes it easy to let go.
they have to make nice with their players and the rifraff who worship them, they have no other options. billionaire team owners get cities to cover their costs, it's always been a scam on the stupid.
Read the room....the public is done with DEI nonsense.
Goodell clearly isn't good at reading the room.
Or, more likely, his puppet masters won't relent. Pfizer and Budweiser/Bud Light are probably still big sponsors/advertisers, despite the fact they sh!t the bed.
Probably another blood red demonic halftime show planned this year as well.
Goodell is compromised. Remember he never enforced the National Anthem rule for standing.
Exactly. 100% agree. He and his handlers have zero interest in reading the room. Just collecting major coin from the spectators and whatever diabolical sponsors/advertisers push
Hope to see him gone to change the NFL
Im sure most people here will tune into this shitshow.

I gave up the NFL when they started taking a knee. I won't tolerate that crap.
But muh fantasy football!!!!

Worth a watch if you have 20 minutes:

But I'm with you 100% on football. They made it too "in your face" starting with Kaep and haven't watched it since.
Sorry for the late reply.

I see what you did here😂😂😂😂
They don't even have women players. (Can they even define what a woman is?) They could make it inclusive. Switch to flag football! 🤣💀
Figures. The game that kneels for the flag, veterans and the national anthem.
Make the NFL embrace BROKE.
All pro sports organizations belong to Satan
Will be boycotting Football again. Just started watching since Kapperpuke.
Kapperpuke should identify as a nonbinary and sue the NFL based on there DEI policies.
well lose your audience and see how that goes for you. I would like to see a DEI hire play this game against very talented players.....could be entertaining
I want to see little people and amputees play on the field
Then we can fully embrace boycotting the SB. Are those Pfuckers at Pfizer still a sponsor?
I finally gave up on the NFL this year. I know, late to the party per usual. But it doesn't actually bring me any happiness, was nothing more than a pastime in the end. Kind of makes it easy to let go.
So we're going to see more white cornerbacks?
