There are a multitude of reasons he may not be aware that his X account was compromised. I haven't signed into my social medias for almost 2 weeks when I was traveling internationally. Several days when I was on a fishing trip in Alaska and a few days when I was camping.
I'm going with the 72 hours rule that has always served me well. Regardless I am not even remotely suggesting anyone purchase these coins.... Even if it was him. I'm simply not coming to a conclusion until there's more information. Basic wisdom.
