I had the opposite experience I had family and doctors making me feel neglectful for believing that nursing and nourishment would do most of the heavy lifting. My son was sick from the jump because he was tongue tied and I kept insisting on learning to nurse so I was guilted into formula feeding ( he wasn’t losing weight but why make it hard I was told) worse advice ever. The mother’s body creates antibodies for her babies and delivers it in the milk. We are their immune system for their early infancy. This is part of the extraordinary design that we as a society are surrendering when we push mothers back into the work force too early. Chest feeding with others milk ( ugh can’t believe I am acknowledging that kerfuffle) meets a babies emotional and psychological need because that need is there to reinforce this fact and also to create the maternal child bond. It doesn’t produce antibodies in real time like a nursing mama does however. . Love is a beautiful powerful bond and nursing certainly reinforces that but the powerful effects on the immune system is just ignored in favor of the vaccine industry. Having home birth and letting your body nourish them and vaccinate them are God’s design and should be the norm. We treat pregnancy and birth like an illness which it is not. Our maternal child death numbers should be a clue that we are doing it wrong.

The eldest I listed to everyone around me scared to death I was doing it wrong and the youngest I had discovered that I could actually make better decisions than our parents and I had the self confidence to step out. I had seen what vaccines did to my eldest and God gave me the courage to stand up for my youngest Who is almost never sick and doesn’t have any markers of the rare blood cancer that my son was diagnosed with. I am incredibly deeply appreciative of the prayers it is genuinely the greatest of all gifts someone can give taking up my concerns and carrying them to our Lord. Beautiful and powerful and my son is a breathing walking( sometimes ) miracle already and God is not done. Even in all this he has blessed us deeply with many medical “miracles “ but more than that he has used this to draw us close to him. My family has always relied on homeopathic and natural remedies. No vaccines for my sons. They are very healthy and don't suffer from the plethora of stuff other kids have suffered from. I'm so grateful I heard about how bad vaccines are for the immune system. I claimed religious exemption for schools. It's taken decades for the parents of today to finally realize the horrific ruse that has been played on the American people. But they're waking up. Hallelujah!

Unless she's had major breast surgery, she should be able to BF with good guidance... ask around your area for a BFing group. And if not, there are milk donor groups... find one local to you. As for the hospital birth, write up a solid birthing plan, and stick to it. You need to make sure that the baby does NOT EVER leave your sight while you're there. Hep B and others are "standing orders" for hospital births, and they won't hesitate to give them.

This is why women BREAST FEED a baby. They receive antibodies from the Mothers milk.
