England is pushing for war because they, in their infinite wisdom, chose to be the guarantor of Ukraine's World Bank debt, coming out to around $50 billion, or 15% of their annual GDP. This, on top of the Gilt crisis of 2022 that lost Liz Truss her job, there's about $200 billion worth of losses on the Bank of England's balance sheet.
And we know countries go to war to help their financial situations.
