I think Starmer's think tank all sat round and wondered what they could do to get on President Trump's good side after everything they had said and done previously.
All they could think of was a tiny percentage increase in defence spend with a larger increase scheduled so far into the future that someone else could well be in government by then and an appeal to Trump's perceived vanity and have him round to the palace for tea, again.
