I've been watching, noticing what he's doing. Personally, I think he's definitely operating. Currently, as a sort of provocateur. Being a voice applying pressure in the more extreme tones, like an outlier.
He knows far too much and is far too saavy for this to be anything less than a well-thought out tactic, imo. But why exactly, I'm not sure. I mean, what role he is currently playing ... not sure.

I think that Flynn's role is done. He acts more like a Right Wing Influencer now then someone who is actively taking down the Deep State. Not saying he is a black hat or anything.

I agree. The hardcore left is Jonesing for their daily dose of brainwash. With MSM downsizing they’re now willing to seek what they consider “honest, real news” elsewhere. It will surprise many to see the production value and thoughtful analysis that currently exists in podcasts they never knew existed. Those that go down with the MSM ship are not salvageable anyway.

There has been a powerful anti-Flynn psyop going on since The Biden administration started. Not so active I think during Trump #1, when Flynn was still under attack from the DS apparatus (DOJ, then Judge), but after he was pardoned, the attacks have been pretty powerful, and obviously been having some effect on our (wider) community. (By wider community, I mean Qtards in general, and people who consider themselves part of the Great Awakening).
But its hard to know whether the anti-Flynner are shills or simply duped frogs.
For rational frogs, I think the anti-Flynn psyop has largely lost steam though, because there is too much evidence of the confidence and high value that Trump places in Flynn.
