5 years is not a severe penalty for terrorism. Terrorism prisoners are usually held for most of their lives.
Not only that when they go to court the judges wont even give them the minimum they will let them out with time served.
Unless you take them to gitmo and try them there.
Federal crime... Federal time. 5 years = 5 years. 20 years = 20 years.
No time off for good behavior, no leniency. The Federal sentence = federal prison time.

Indeed when one takes into account the intent of the crime (i.e. to damage Tesla owners, because the perp disagrees with Musk), it increases the seriousness - even as keying a car or whatever is considered petty.
Iven keying a car,can be felony charges,as it's expensive to fix. Someone was chaged with it recently.

Seems fair enough. Its "insurrection", lock them up without trial like what happened to the J6ers. After all they said being let in to the Capital building by the Capital police was "worse than Pearl Harbour", fire-bombing a Tesla dealership seems far worse that going on guided tours by the Capital Police.
