He likely died on 4/20. He was pronounced dead at about 7:30am 4/21 local time in Rome which means he was announced dead sometime after he actually died. He could have died late night on 4/20 in that time zone
Keep in mind time zones matter. Q uses Washington DC time zones which would have put The announcement of his death around 1:30am.
I'm sure it would be several hours before they actually announced his death in Rome so I think we can surmise that he more than likely died on 4/20 in at least one of those time zones.
