He likely died on 4/20. He was pronounced dead at about 7:30am 4/21 local time in Rome which means he was announced dead sometime after he actually died. He could have died late night on 4/20 in that time zone
Keep in mind time zones matter. Q uses Washington DC time zones which would have put The announcement of his death around 1:30am.
I'm sure it would be several hours before they actually announced his death in Rome so I think we can surmise that he more than likely died on 4/20 in at least one of those time zones.

In Orthodoxy, to die during Holy Week or especially on Pascha itself, is the most wonderful time to die. The soul rises immediately to heaven. It is a tremendous blessing for the person. My Godfather died on Pascha some years ago. Everyone was thrilled for him!
