I think it's important that I start this post by saying I am not anyone special. My posts here could be considered anywhere from low to middle effort. Many anons here put me to shame with their high effort and insightful posts. I am fortunate to be a member of this community, and I appreciate anyone putting in effort. I recently made a meme that called out datefagging and I want to clarify why I made it.
When you hover over the "Create A Post" button, you will see Q Post #1786...

How appropriate that just before we make a post here, we get a reminder of the responsibility that we carry as anons. "We are the public face of Q". When we make a post or comment here, it can end up reflecting on the whole movement. Should this be the case? No, we are not Q. We are anons. But to the average normie influenced by MSM, we may as well all be "Qanon".
What is datefagging? It is a prediction of certain events unfolding at a certain date and/or time based often on "decodes" of Q posts or other outside sources. IMO there are different degrees of datefagging.
Low level: Example "Hey, this upcoming delta points to "Gold shall destroy the Fed". Gold has been in the news lately. Will we see big habbenings with gold in the upcoming days?"
Mid-Level: Example "Timestamp on this POTUS tweet lines up with this Q post which means something big could be habbening on this day. Keep your eyes peeled for info related to this subject (see something, say something etc.)"
High-Level: "I have decoded comms that indicate a major event will be habbening on this specific date." This event could cause death, destruction and could lead to fear and or panic from people who see this decode and believe it to be true/authentic.
Low and Mid-Level datefagging has little impact other than to bring it to the attention of fellow anons and perhaps expand on these educated guesses through further digging. High-level datefagging however, can lead to much more serious consequences and therefore should probably come with extra high-quality sauce. These high-level posts can also damage the credibility of the OP or possibly the site as a whole when/if these types of posts/comments get shoved into the mainstream spotlight.

Does this mean I think we should not attempt to warn others if we feel we have valuable insights or information? No. It simply means we should make every effort to provide as much detail as possible on how we reached these conclusions and support our claims with extra sauce.

Can I add, please before posting “breaking news” check to see if it has already been posted several times. Way too many news items are posted multiple times. It just clutters things up.

And, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE only create titles that 1a) are on-point and 1b) contain key words/names so they are searchable (note: Search only queries titles, not content), 2) are proof-read and, 3) are "Link posts" that link directly to the source wherever possible
Posts with less-than-ideal titles - which might contain good content - may not be viewed at all or may be lost to obscurity because they are virtually impossible to find. Such titles are those that are attention-getting-but-non-descriptive, generic, and/or those that consist of "uniquely-branded" tags (often used to title one's posts) or only symbols/emojis. Examples might include, "BREAKING!", "Surprise!", "DC Corruption!", "Who would have thought,", "Would you look at that" or "Cats-meow!"
Posting takes time and effort. Good, functional titles allow your work and whatever info, views or thoughts you're trying to communicate to be found, viewed and appreciated by a broader, more enduring audience.
I completely agree. I think a good standard of practice is to use the article title you are linking to as the post title being made.
If you want to be creative or funny, just make the first comment on your post. If you really are creative or funny, the upvotes will keep it tippy top.

I agree, but sometimes it does get missed because some don't write what their posts are about so it doesn't come up when you search or we just don't search the words others may use to describe a post. But I don't think everyone actually does a search.
I rarely post anymore since most of my posts get taken down by mods for retarded reasons. Usually just because they disagree with what I'm saying and then simply stop responding to my messages when I argue with them after a while. I'll occasionally post something that doesn't get taken down, but I've lost most of the desire to post anything other than comments in general because it's annoying to have everything taken down for some ass backwards arbitrary reason. Last one that got taken down was because "This post divides us" when it was a simple discussion post about the current state of things and how the pendulum is swinging back towards the right, but how it might possibly swing TOO much to the right.
You tend to stop caring about posting when you realize you're only allowed to pots "approved discussions" and mods can just shut it down the moment they disagree with your opinion or stance or just simply don't like what you're saying.
To me this site is basically a news aggregator at this point where I occasionally comment or respond to a comment where I have some sort of applicable knowledge and even more rarely, will actually post something I find interesting or applicable, for the reasons above.
If anyone cares to notice, in the last few years, it appears most users have more or less taken a similar stance to me. Back in 2020 and 2021, this place was STUPID active. You'd regularly get posts with HUNDREDS of net upvotes and sometimes a thousand+ comments. But as years have gone by and the mods have gotten more ridiculous, the majority of users stopped bothering to put in more than the bare minimum effort because who wants to fight tooth and nail in a "free speech platform" to do something as simple as make a post.
A lot of people don't seem to remember, but we've had like 3 or 4 schisms because of the mods where a mod went rogue or another got pissy and butthurt over something. A few years ago we got into a REALLY big site wide argument about gays and homosexuals because a few people were insisting we had accept faggotry moving forward and ignore the inherent degeneracy of homosexuality and its effects on society as a whole, and got shit on massively. The mods tried to shut down the argument, but everyone got so pissed about it and kept spamming posts over it they ended up having a public forum sticky over it and pretty much EVERYONE except for like 5 users shat on the fag lovers and the mods for trying to force us to accept faggotry and silence our voices on the topic. It was so lopsided that it wasn't even a question how most people felt about it. And that's the ONLY reason they stopped trying to delete any anti gay posts.
I know I ranted a bit here, but my point is this. People date fag and stuff like that, because most on here don't care anymore. That's why, despite site traffic having actually grown over the years, no one makes that many high effort posts anymore. The incentive is gone for a lot of people, so when you eliminate the incentive and kill the desire for high effort posts, you end up with a few hold outs making high and medium effort posts and a lot of low effort slop to get engagement farming.
It's been YEARS since I've seen any REAL high effort posts. Hell, I personally used to make one or two posts a week on topics that were relevant, complete with SPREADSHEETS you could download to show others and help explain your viewpoint IRL. And lots of others did similar things as well. Literal Google spreadsheets you could download, print and share. But neither I, nor anyone else, has done anything like that in years, because everyone got tired of having every other post deleted or shutdown because some mod just didn't like it.
I'm not excusing the low effort slop, but there's a reason you see mostly that now, whereas the site USED to be a lot different.
In the early days on VOAT and then here, I'd stay up for HOURS devouring all the deep insightful posts, decodes, replies and more. Hell, i was an addict of sorts. Red-piller from Hades! It was a great source of facts to present to the deniers.
I had a few posts and replies of which i was proud and some garnered hundreds of updoots.
Then i made the mistake of using the word "retard" and that retard Espra? or such perma-banned me!! It wasn't even a directed insult to a specific individual. I tried to sway the jury to no avail, which only caused me to clam up for years and throw out a random comment every so often, such as this and to change my username every so often.
When you smack an animal too many times they become "face shy" and i think that's happened on GAW. Lots of superficiality in comparison to days of yore. Lots of burn out, too, i'm sure.
I'd reference an absolutely out of left field week-long ban imposed on me a few months ago, but i'd dox myself to the powers. Like cops and politicians, mods on ANY site will never admit to an error.

If you want a legitimate example, I once got 4 or 5 posts deleted and a temp ban for trying to start a conversation on the legitimacy of the rumors about furry degeneracy in schools. To see if it was just a lying news headline, or if kids actually were crapping in litter boxes in some schools and being encouraged by teachers. Pretty topical since we're always talking about corruption and grooming given Q revolves around the world being run by corrupt pedophiles. Every single time I'd try to bring it up, I'd get my post shutdown immediately for being "off topic" and eventually got a temp ban for a week for "spamming".
Things like THAT are why people stopped posting so much. You're doing a whole lot of assuming, most of which is wrong, Logic dictates nothing of the sort, because I, and most others, have a life off this site, and can't spend every hour of the day trying to find a viable alternative with a sizable enough population to actually matter. I can't speak for others, but I only found this site by complete accident. I don't typically dredge the internet for forums of any kind.
Maybe stop assuming you know what anyone is thinks or what they're saying? The mods on here are crap, and have been for a few years, but there's no real viable alternative, hence why this place has turned into a fancy new aggregator for most.

I understand the entire sentiment. We are a large and very diverse group with lots of ideas. Uet we all pivot together on the point of being free. Even that will be defined differently within the Gaw. but we prove nothing if not this, we here in GAW are one of the most diverse and individualistic groups in the world. I disagree with much of what I hear here. But on the fine points of freedom and goodness we are all pretty likeminded. We aren't even all countrymen. Very diverse.
