Hot turbines + cold water could be catastrophic, but then again they only have a few minutes of fuel so maybe not catastrophically dangerous from a rapid temperature change, at least not more than tumbling into rough seas wearing heavy gear already is.
They are regular jetfuel turbofan engines like on big airplanes, just miniature like for RC airplanes. 4 small ones, two for each hand, and probably two larger ones in the backpack
Total thrust to weight ratio iirc is like 1.5 for the pack+human
These have been around for a few years, a lot of youtubers have flew in them. But never seen anything quite like this.
Flying these bad boys over the water is ideal, in case, you know, you have a rapid unscheduled disassembly or straight up turn into a kerosene fireball
Is there anything holding his arms in, or does he need the strength of an Olympic gymnast who can support himself on the rings with his arms horizontal?
You definitely need to be strong af to fly one of these. Arms are bearing a lot of his body weight plus the thrust of the pack plus the arms are how you actually steer and fly one of these bad boys
P233 is HMS Tamar and these are Royal Marine Commandos. They showed this capability off a few years ago. They just can't be USMC, where are their pink buttplugs with matching diaper restraint harnesses? Bless.
No need to flame me, because this is beyond awesome if true. Just, why does the video and especially the landings look fake (first clip of a guy flying - looks totally like an AI cartoon)?
These days I believe nothing I hear and half of what I see. I don't do photoshop so have no technical data to share. Any other anons at least questioning this?
Maybe go to taco baal, order a 10 pack and start pounding X-Lax?
Then get revenge on the h1bs feeding pigeons...2 birds with one ah stone? π©π
Crap dusting...
I've only got the 64 color crayons and it doesn't have the built in sharpener...π
πππ
It won't be long before the jetpack has two integrated turrets...one for each hand
Totally AWESOME!!!
Marines perform boarding exercises with JETPACKS and landing on a high-speed ship. This is very cool π

Interesting concept, but how quickly can he shed those things and get to his rifle?
Hand held, quick release system. Believe me, the bugs are worked out. BTW, the small jets only have a few. Minutes of power. So very short jumps.
I like the fact it was done over water... I mean if you had a malfunction or had to ditch, you've got a pretty soft landing.
Just vicariously putting myself there... because damn that looks like a TOTAL BLAST!!! πππ

They looked like they could be electric - power supply backpack?

It's literally the Rocketeer π

Makes me wonder if a malfunction would happen over water, can they shed the weight? Floates available?
I don't know... but you can bet the crew has him in their sights ready to get him in seconds if he goes down.
woot! command and conquer finally happening.
Great idea, but you are defenceless while airborne.
That'd come in handy getting into my tree stand for deer hunting, but they might hear me coming.
Wait, why would I need a tree stand at that point!
