This is such a surface-level observation. Many Republicans don't actually care. They never did, they just wanted the power and the money. It's the same thing as the Democrats. If we keep thinking at this level, we'll never be free.
The two-party system was created to bolster tribalism while allowing each side to take turns tearing away at our freedom in small chunks. One side will blame the other for doing bad things while ignoring the evils of their own party. One party gets voted out, the other comes in, but the motive stays the same.
Yeah, there are people in congress that are fighting for the American people, but it's not because of their political affiliation. They fight for us because of their morality alignment. This is Good vs. Evil.
