There are lawyer vids on YT that lay out specifically (in other states) how much damage the attackers get to do to your car with you in it, before you're allowed to take violent action. You can't kill them just because they break a window. They have to be literally and provably threatening your life.

I hate to say the obvious, but if you do drive over one of the illegals and kill one of them, I can damn well guarantee you will be prosecuted for murder. This is one of those "pseudo political promises" that sound good when said and garners a "hell yeah!" from the listeners, but if you actually do it, you will land yourself in a whole heap of trouble...guaranteed!
My local sheriff (Florida) announced rather loudly that he approved of citizens shooting criminals breaking into houses. Saying that it saved the state money and that they appreciated it. This was in response to a citizen shooting a bugler breaking into a neighbor's house.
