Half way to Indiana, Pence's plane was ordered to promptly turn around and head back to DC after being recalled back to the White House by POTUS.
When this happened, the Air Force call sign on Mike Pence's plane changed mid-flight from AF2 to SAM 239 [Special Air Mission 239] - meaning the purpose of the flight had changed from transporting the vice president to a live military operation.
Mike Pence never looked the same after that - like so many others.

I've been thinking about Pence and the certification recently.
I think it was absolutely necessary for him to betray Trump for the plan to work.
But did he do it for that reason?
I wonder whether he was blackmailed by the cabal.

I think certain people were picked by the white hats to help the plan along. Some of them were picked because they would be loyal, others were picked because they either wouldn’t or couldn’t. I have no idea where Pence falls in this movie but I do know that he played his part.

Correct. Price of getting Republican Party CORP nomination (controlled by Bush Sr.) was accepting Neocon, McCain protege, and Bush Sr. loyalist Pence as VP (2016). VP was forced on Trump just like they did to Reagan (because they had planned to take Trump out).

I'm not trying to call your accounting of the tale into question, but it took place on July 2, 2019, and at the time, there were conflicting reports of whether he actually left on the plane. His chief of staff later reported that he had boarded the plane, but deplaned before takeoff. I realize, of course, this could all be cover.

The rumored attempted coup to remove Trump via 25th Amendment maneuver orchestrated by Pence and Ryan (with Ryan then becoming VP) was supposedly in the Spring of 2018, likely just before Ryan announced his resignation from Speaker (12APR2018). Ryan got forced out, physically replaced with body double at some point, and very likely tribunaled (possibly executed for treason ~end of 2019?). Attempting a coup possibly carries death sentence, but a "deal for Rothschild dirt" would have been smart (Ryan's wife is his Rothschild/Bauer handler).

WOW! I was one of the few that thought that Pence was a secret white hat because of Trump's statement that it would take "more bravery to do the wrong thing than the right thing" about certifying the stolen 2020 election, but this convinces me. Well researched fren.
Trump unfortunately was surrounded by a swamp of establishment snakes. I can't even imagine what it must have been like for him - every day being in the presence of people who espoused loyalty, while at the same time, were secretly plotting demise behind his back. True courage in the face of the enemy.
Speaking of behind the back, I once saw a video from very early on in Trump's first administration. Trump was at a meet and greet gathering to honor Border Patrol officers somewhere in the Southwest. Pence was among the other "distinguished guests" who followed Trump in shaking the hands of the same officers. As Trump turned and walked away from the officers, I witnessed Pence being passed a note on the sly from one of the officers standing in the front of the gathering. Pence palmed the note and slipped it into his pocket. The look on Trump's face as he walked away spoke volumes. It appeared as though he knew Pence was up to no good behind his back. I will never forget it.
If this account is correct, Pence in 2020 and the 2021 certification would not be the same as Pence 2019. Which means Pence at certification time would've been completely WH controlled.
