Many states got rid of the work requirement during the COVID scam and the only reason the work requirement is coming back is because of Trump. Blue/Purple states have been keeping this bullshit alive for as long as they can. While they have to institute the work requirements to get the federal funds, they are not really intending to enforce them until sometime in 2026.

They are probably getting cash assistance also, so there is a good possibility that when it is all said and done that they are getting $2800.00 a month.
My federal retirement, 401K, Supplemental Social Security benefit and part time Walmart job doesn't even make it up to $2800. Heck, maybe I should look into having more of my retirement padded by the tax payers. Could I get SNAP, too?
