Anyone else noticed changes since the deportation of illegal immigrants started? What are your local observations?

I almost immediately noticed the Walmart here is never crowded anymore.
I haven't noticed a difference where I live. In fact, I'm starting to wonder if some of them are coming here to get away from big cities. I live in eastern NC. In the last month, I've seen two bad accidents, and in both cases, a bunch of obvious "migrants" were standing next to the aftermath. When I go to the local grocery store, I see far more "migrants" coming in than I used to. They work on every farm around this area. They drive every tractor. They're on every construction site. The schools are full of their kids. I've seen schools hiring for people to specifically work with migrant children. So, whatever is going on, it's pushing them further into our part of the country. And I'm not happy when Trump says we need to allow these "good" farm workers to stay. Do we?
Those farm jobs should American kids learning life and how to work. Endless hours of driving straight and listening for something "off" with an implement.
Me too. So MD. I think they're spilling out of DC and Baltimore. Another tell tell sign is garbage on the roads.
Yep, exactly. I don't know where ours are coming from, exactly, but I'm noticing an increase. And they can't drive. They're dangerous. In both of the accidents I saw, a truck was flipped over, and five or six Mexican-looking guys were standing there sheepishly looking around. They should not be here, clogging up and endangering our roads. Most don't get insurance.
Exactly. If you don't have uninsured drivers insurance, get it. You seriously need it. I had my life changed by a driver with no insurance and no driving license. It took 5 years to get to court, but I was so outraged, I stuck it out and won (but the lawyer, who was good, and the court costs took most. Still, I won. Bastards.)
Lots more parking and WAY less beaners moving uber slow in Wallymart...
Lighter traffic in L.A.
Also, local Del Taco closed. Surely a coincidence. The local Taco Bell is still open.
I’ve noticed a lot less traffic
Not here in SC. I went to Costco over the weekend, and I couldn't tell you how many languages I heard other than English.
Costco is my barometer !
Went apartment shopping in may, there were actual vacancies and deals like 1st month free, i was shocked. It used to take a while to find a good place
Unfortunately I spent an hour and a half yesterday at the courthouse annex getting 2 registration stickers. It was like the UN in there. A cacophony of foreign languages being spoken. I'm in a big city though
Same here. No more illegals with two or three shopping carts overflowing with food that we've paid for. No more bike-riding illegals on the side of highways going to work and back. More teenagers in jobs at restaurants and fast food places. Less traffic. No more twenty to thirty people in the same house. Overall, a vast improvement, and I live in a "sanctuary" state.
One of my legal farm worker tenants finally found a steady job. He has scrapped by in the last year due to the illegals. He has always been a good tenant, so I am letting him catch up, only 1 month behind. Also my favorite taco truck, all of a suddenly became very rude and condescending.
Schools around here used to release reports at the first of the year: how many enrolled/demographics, all the data. I’m waiting to see if enrollment has dropped and if I’m going to have to go digging to get that info, which to me, is a tell in itself. Can’t WAIT for ice to hit Colony Ridge!
Northern Nevada. Remodeling activity in the apartment complex (300 units built in the 1980s) is suddenly way up. None of the workers speak English. Could be a sudden rush on the complex owners' part in case they all start self-deporting?
I have noticed the roads with less traffic and Walmart as well. ICE did a raid just recently so I know they are working in the area.
I used to be able to put "garage sale " items out on the front curb with a free sign and they would be gone in hours. This summer nothing. Had to take things to second hand stores.
Flea markets have doubled
