Not many lol. Disabled since I was 38. I'm 60 now. You can't have many assets or savings on disability. It took 4 years to get approved, any savings I may have had were used for living while I couldn't work and had zero income for 4 years.
Sorry to hear it. I was fortunate enough to have bought private disability insurance when I had an accident SS denied me . But the insurance company had a couple of Doctors check me out and no issues with payments for the years 2010 until now.
(Not with specific regard to this but in general) it is totally possible for transparency to not be in the public interest. 100%. Especially if people aren't primed with full context.
