Just remember.. FEMA is not anyone's friend right now. Do not trust any "assistance" promises or financial benefits because of any natural event. Don't sign anything from FEMA. This organization affiliationmight not be legitimate unless you have facts that prove that it is, because a lot of help groups have been USAID bogus things lately. It happened in Lahaina and in the Carolinas.
I would be nervous getting anything from FEMA too. The connotation is not good. Do you have a way to leave your area in an emergency?
Printing edition date does not mean mailing date. That presumably would have been the most recent edition in publication. If you look behind the title page on any book that has been continuously published for a long time, you will typically find a list of the edition printing dates.
At first glance of the TOC, it looks like they're pretty much telling people to write down their account numbers, passwords, pins and secret squirrel access codes for their financial crap...
It's not like they're dispensing investment tips an sheit...
That is the right attitude. I am disgusted by the defeatist "Let's surrender and run away" attitude.
(If somebody has to move for the sake of financial survival, that is a slightly different story. But I don't like this gratuitous "California is worthless" undertone of those urging emigration. I feel much the same way about Washington.)
Yes. Pastors with no fight in them. It is somehow "Christian" to be a punching bag, even though Christ told his Apostles to sell a cloak to buy a sword. Supposedly, while we are in the world, we are part of the "Church Militant," but my complaint (as a former atheist of 40 years) is that what we have is what I call the "Church Complacent." Standing up for anything is too prideful. This infuriates me, inasmuch as all but one of the Apostles (all of whom stood for Christ explicitly) were put to death for their advocacy.
There is something deeply unmanly about walking away from a righteous fight. I may have watched too many John Wayne movies. But I don't think so.
TY Fren. Have been for a long time. I was cautioned to buy one in San Diego, but in 9 years made 3.5 times what I bought the place for..... it is a risk, not owning the land, but it's the only way I could afford a 1530 sq ft 2/2bath with garage outside of Sacramento. $1488 lease for the land/month.
I get what you're saying. I have been a government worker for nearly 15 years. I have a wife and three kids and we have been living in a one-bedroom all this time and I don't see a way out.
I have money saved up to buy a home but it seems that with each passing year the finish line gets further and further away from me.
At first I was against trailers in trailer parks but the system is so imposing I am now desperately looking for a trailer that I can afford. Now that I know who the people are who are snatching up trailer parks I'm thinking my best bet is to buy an RV.
It's a fucked up life for my kids but I don't imagine that we have any other options at this point.
I really appreciate what Trump and his administration are doing for this country and I really believe the future will be bright. But as for me and mine I think it's too late.
When my career in government can't even afford a trailer in a trailer park and my teenage daughter still has to sleep in a bed that's too small for her it pushes me to the brink.
I am no revolutionary and I know I, myself, can't do anything to change the world, but - I'll tell you this - If I ever get diagnosed with a terminal illness and I know I have nothing left to lose.. I won't aspire to going after big political targets. I will dedicate what little time I have left to going after these low-level greedy nobodys who are buying trailer parks and driving up the rents for no reason. Just because they can. Just to line their own already-inflated pockets.
They are within my reach. Somebody needs to do something.
Heartbreaking story Fren, but living in an RV would be a great experience for your kids if you can get in a good park with nature around you.
What State are you in? You could try and buy some land first or find a mobile home park where you buy the land too and just have a small HOA fee for the amenities. My sibling bought a house in the late 70's at 19% interest and still made money when he sold. Definitely get into something with that money. It's depreciating just sitting in the bank.
You're doing the best you can and have the right perspective; family. I'm confident life will get better for all of us. Blessings to you and your loved ones.
I'm not saying this is for everybody, or even you, but full time living in an RV isn't the dream people think it is.
f you are going to do it may I suggest a high quality, well built unit that can stand up to daily family use: look at the 1990s Prevost conversion buses.
Very affordable to buy, expensive to move around, built like a tank. And safe.
When the tornado comes for you, do you want to be in an F-450 conversion or a 45 foot long, 48,000+ pound structure?
Not for everybody - an option most would never think of, perhaps?
"September 2019"
???
FEMA apparently has no money to support those NC flooding victims nor update their propaganda material.
Did all your neighbors get this as well or just you?
Ya, 2019...... LOL. I'm assuming everyone in the park; direct neighbors got it too.

Lots of small fires close by in the last week. If I had to get out quickly, at least I'm in the beginning of the park. Thanks Fren. ❤️
The Fact that this just got Delivered...With a Date of Sept 2019..Is Another Reason why we need to make the USPS...Great Again!

Kek.
2019 says to me it probably was 'predictive programming' - so to say - for convid; they were really preparing to lock us down for a long time.
Last night on the msm teevee I saw a FEMA commercial. Entirely in Spanish. I thought we were done with that?!

I would get TF out of California!
Born here and the only thing that would make me leave is if my kids moved out of state. We CAN make California GREAT again!

Thanks Fren! Got Pastors, big names, saying if this Bill or that Bill passes.... Flee California! What BS. We stay and fight! 😉

They're coming after trailer parks.
Also known as "tornado magnets".

Some NGO probably got gobs of money to distribute these, and now they are getting nervous and actually delivering them.
