My untrained scientific theory with this is, when you have someone who transitioned genders, you have someone who is already disaffected or depressed in some way and is looking for help.
While there are many causes of this, often hormones have some role (either as causation or correlation) - but by transitioning, you end up “correcting” (read: messing up) that hormone balance in exactly the wrong direction.
That’s bound to make all the depression, anger, and unhappiness worse over time, and likely to manifest in really strong and unpredictable ways, IMO.

Serious question: Are all of these males that are taking sex hormones just taking estrogen all of the time? I would wager that the majority of liberal women have high amounts of estrogen in their systems because of birth control pills. my wife (post menopausal) now in late 60's has taken estrogen for years, per recommendation of her gynecologist (retired now) but she continues on. Helps her mood. It is a low dose I believe and she varies the dose slightly as per her mood and as directed by her doctor. I know there are doctors that say it can cause breast cancer, but her gynecologist had done a lot of research on it and recommended it saying it wasn't true. He was also always big proponent of vitamin D, and was known in town as the Vitamin D doctor. This was years before covid. He retired and she misses him as he was really good.
