What’s the deal with post offices hiring foreign (although in this case he got his citizenship). Ours has two Indian women and they are pleasant but very difficult to understand. Our mail delivery here is horrendous. We get mail for others almost daily and our mail comes extremely late or not at all.
The post office went DEI. I remember two decades ago when you had the same mailman all the time. You knew that person and they knew you. I would give him money on Christmas and he would send me a thank you note. Now they keep recycling people and you have different mailmen.

You would know, how? As compared to the open encampments of the "homeless", who ply their trade with drugs all the while? Zambia is rife with actual homeless, but not with cesspits like we have in the U.S.

I suggest you travel to Africa. I believe what I see. We still excel the world in having cesspits of non-civilization. One summer, the encampment was all along a mile of elevated highway. To drive along that open-air was like driving through an ill-used outhouse.

I got a job with the post office back in 1989. Went through all the testing which was basically a memorization game of streets and numbers. I was so shocked to see all the people that got the same job as me and could barely speak english. Many asian and indian people.
One of the temp workers had a green card and was hoping for citizenship. Even back then I wondered why did these people get these jobs over Americans.
Off to Zambia.
