So I picked up a free copy of Hunt for Red October (copyright 1984) yesterday... I don't recall the Subs political officer being named "Putin" in the movie...
It pissed me off that Prime screwed up "No Remorse". That was one of the best books I've read, but they had to change Clark to be black.
I can't remember who did the Joe Pickett series, but the did the same thing there. In the book, Nate Romanowski was this big blonde haired nature boy (Romanowski, right?), but in the series, they made him black. My wife and I thought the series was still OK in spite of that, but I feel like if they had just stuck to the books, that series would still be on the air.
It's funny... They left out the last line of this opening monologue: "... and you know this all leads back to the Vatican!"
Whoever made this cut it at the last possible second.
Does anyone know how "nitter" was allowed to retain that name when it is obviously taking advantage of "twitter"? There was a little thing that restaurants used to have called "The Small Street Journal", that had little facts and human interest stories. "The Wall Street Journal" sued the publishers and made them cease using that name because they said it obviously infringed on their name.
After Elon acquired twitter he put a stop to some of the work arounds and people smarter than I found other ways. I think once we got to nitter.poast he gave up kek. Or realized that some of us just don't have an account and never will but still wants people to have access to the info shared on the platform.
Been reviewing all the Tom Clancy movies & shows lately... LOTS of COMs and DECLAS in those films...
The Hunt for Red October. 1990
Patriot Games. 1992
Clear and Present Danger. 1994
OP Center. 1995
NetForce. 1999
The Sum of All Fears 2002
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit 2014
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (Prime video) 2018
Read the books...
Ya... Time is the issue on that. Not enough...
I'll read 3 paragraphs and transition to studying the back of my eyelids...

LOL not a bookworm myself fren
Same...I just become too aware of the fact that my body is sitting motionless, staring at black & white words in this object I'm holding...can't focus
That’s how I feel watching TV - not a favorite pastime

It's in both the book and movie:
Here
A few more "documentaries" (not from Clancy tho):
Wag the Dog (1997) - G0v cover-ups and false flags
Enemy of the State (1998) - G0v Surveillance
Man on Fire (2004) - Child trafficking
Wag the Dog is the first thing I thought of when the Ukraine/Russia war broke out.
fits perfectly doesn't it?
Another show thst probably has more truth than fiction is The Man in the High Castle.

I love that movie. And I laugh like nuts when watching it.

There is a part in this where the street address is 33 17th st. I have been watching it multiple times lately as it's on free tubi.

Twitter no longer exists.
