They caused terror through several blue cities, mostly in 2020. After they went away, the cities mostly cleaned up and went back to the way things were. What's the point? Why would this be a thing that Soros would want to invest in?

They were planing on stepping up the violence a lot more,so they needed stormtroopers. You can't be Nazis without street thugs.
They didn't go away they just hide better now.
They are not hiding, they are mixed in and involved in every single Anti USA protest, they are in local governments now (since 2020 if not before) they are the ones that kept "allying" with the Transgender movement and foot soldiers who been harassing local establishments (like when the woman complained about the man flashing himself in the woman's restroom then SHE got ousted from the place) Antifa members were there to "protest against transphobes" and stand around outside the place for a few weeks after to harass normal people and then there were several small business that were pro Trump that they have harassed over and over, doxed, tried to get shut down. They are on campus, they involve themselves with free Palestine stuff, they are the ones at ICE facilities protesting day in and day out. I can imagine that, the same people are spotted over and over again, across the country being dicks. ANYWHERE that a group of people are being hateful to anything USA or Conservatives, Antifa involve themselves in. They use to be straight up anarchists, not left or right but, they Left has given them a platform where they can do damage and it shows. IMO

This is just speculation on my part, but I believe that Wal-Mart is involved in child sex trafficking as are a ton of other organizations.

Remember their 16-year plan to start a civil war in the US in order to destroy the nation? That plan was disrupted by the military installation of Donald Trump. But make no mistake, that is still the deep state's plan. In order to start a color revolution or spark a civil war you must have agitators and a call to arms.
The constant meme associated with the left is the messaging of being oppressed by a system that must be torn down. Somehow, they have convinced spoiled, entitled rich kids that they are all victims of oppression because of the conservative base's intolerance for immorality, criminal and mentally unstable behavior and perverse worldview.
Again, the left accuses the conservative right (and now even centrists) for being intolerant when it is they who are intolerant of any opposing voice or opinion. So much so that they call for the execution of anyone who even speaks an opinion that does not agree with their perverse world view.
Antifa is just one head of a hydra that repeats this intolerance indoctrination. Soros spent 80 million dollars of his own cash to further this propaganda, but the truth is the American taxpayer has paid a lot more to these NGOs, who received funding all these years from USAID. Soros directed most of these NGOs both directly and indirectly, which sew discord into the populace.

Because that's what he does, create color revolutions and capitalize off of the movement and it's eventual success or failure. There's a long history of data to back this up globally, hell, he's admitted it himself in past interviews. If regime change succeeds, he benefits further. If it does not, then he's already made a ton of money from programs such as USAID paying tax dollars to the NGOs he promotes and uses to bolster the antagonist groups responsible for the turmoil.
