I dont think college professors are to blame, it's the local school teachers who are not forcing our kids to learn to read. The teachers don't want to hurt the kids' feelings by having them stand up in class and read a paragraph out loud. The giggles from classmates might be too intimidating for the child. Ugh, the logic behind the educatuon system is such that it hurts the child instead of being an uplifting experience. So what if a kid gets laughed at because he stumbled trying to pronounce a word. That is/was called character building back in the day. Get rid of liberal teachers and this might change. Force the local SCHOOL BOARD to put a pencil and piece of paper in the hands of children every day so they can learn cursive and this might be corrected.
Sir, my wife has been an elementary school teacher for twenty years. I have seen first hand how the student body has changed. First let me say that the Mrs is a quality teacher whose results annually have been among the highest level of learning in our home county. Many people do not know the level of evaluation and scrutiny there is for educators. It is constant and in depth. My Mrs has always taken great pride in her teaching performance. Her abilities as an educator are not in question. Yet the number of her students who achieve the higher average scores have declined. The reasons are I believe two fold. Number one is that the I.Q. Level has diminished . You can choose your own reason but I believe it is due to lack of interaction with parents. The lower average intelligence along with the integration of the lower intellect children cause damage to the process of teaching capable students. Number two is the problem of generational ignorance and concentration of lower IQ gene pools. Couple these in with lower pay scales and constant bitter criticism, and you have the formula for failure. Don’t expect teachers to repair your broken children. It’s not going to happen. Most people have no Idea what teachers must endure. As an example the Mrs had one of her special education students who MUST be included in an ordinary classroom write “Kill my teacher” on the blackboard. This child being One of SIX E S E students out of twenty three in total. In a class that is required by law to have twenty. They get around it by putting low pay unaccredited monitors to assist who are so inexperienced they require supervision as well. The faculty refuses to remove or discipline the children posing a threat . Don’t blame the teacher.
Honestly, good teachers are out there. It's the bad apples that ruin the whole barrel. My childhood friend is a teacher, and she is one that says teachers don't make enough (while she makes six figures because she has a master's degree and 20+ years experience), complains about having to do work after her 7 hour school day (I was in a work position that I had to plan for clients off the clock too, and I made a fraction of what she did), gets how many days/weeks off? PLUS she celebrates the kids backing the teachers when they were "striking" by leaving their classes. So backing the teachers personal agendas rather than doing what they were supposed to do... LEARN. We didn't even know our teachers existed outside of school! We didn't even know they made money and that it was a job. PLUS, with the current trend of tipping your teacher at the beginning, middle and end of the school year, she walks around in $100 jeans she buys with gift cards and drinks Starbucks daily... with gift cards from her student's families. Then complains she isn't paid enough. Yes, she is liberal (sadly! But I am still good friends with her!)
Anyhow, I have a sister that is a good, conservative teacher, and she said the liberal agenda, even in her conservative area, is awful. She is afraid to speak out when another teacher is spewing hate and politics. She tries to be the light to kids that are underprivileged and needing extra support. She tries to be the one that tells them they are worth it, and don't have to put up with being marginalized. She works to keep agendas out of her classroom. However, she is forced to listen to the mandatory "What to do if ICE comes for a kid in your class!!!!" and all the ridiculous opinions and "fear" from the other teachers. It's being stoked in the teachers lounge. She and her husband are moving out of state to get away from the agendas and politics. So yeah, good teachers are out there, but they are being pretty much forced to stay silent by the majority of agenda pushers and, in the case of my sister, forced out of the system.
My wife is also an educator and given what she's shared with me over the years, everything you stated is correct. One additional element that has directly affected my wife and some others in her profession is the willingness of School Admin to gaslight and verbally "punish" teachers who step out of the invisible boundaries.
My wife has also been a Registered Nurse for 20+ years. If she makes a medical, psychological, emotional observation about a child and relays it to the principal, the school is more concerned how they may now be financially on the hook.
According to Admin, it's easier to let the kids suffer without proper care than to financially risk getting the kids the help they need. It's clear that the threatening responses she's received from Admin are composed by their legal team and not anything the principal or Superintendent have the ability to create. Nothing ever comes of these "threats" as they can't risk the exposure in court, at the School Board Meetings or on Social Media.
Having been homeschooled K-12, I can’t tell you the amount of literature I’ve read over the years. Parents need to prioritize their children, if they choose to have them, and stop be ignorant on the subject of schooling. If my mom schooled six kids while my dad worked anyone can. There are no excuses anymore.
When I was in 1st Grade and stood up and tried to read aloud I got laughed at because I stuttered through the words...Now, I can get up and read aloud or expound on ideas that I have through the English language...I overcame this in the Military due to having TO TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO SHOOT!!!!!...Imagine That!!!!!
That's why I read everything on this website and other sites with regularity and HARDLY WATCH TV because I'm either reading or designing something or figuring out the best way to make my bullets better...

This is what happens when standards are reduced
And our standards were largely reduced because we imported the 3rd world and then we were told standards are racist

We need to get rid of schools. Parents need to realize it's their responsibility to educate their kids, not the governments.

We need to abort public education. Do you know how to make education highly valued again?
AND DO AWAY WITH THE DAMN SCHOOL BOARDS...THEY ARE WORTHLESS AND USELESS AS TITS ON A BOAR HOG AND TAKE OUR TAX DOLLARS!!!!
This department never existed until I was in high school.
The schools continued to go downhill rapidly after that.
Nitter version of this tweet
I thought we already abolished it or is it like everything else?
I thought we did.
Seeing Possum Reviews on here was quite a surprise, but a welcome one.
Why'd the goblin turn on the stove?
Correct. Every state already has one.
This is what happened: https://greatawakening.win/p/1AR0sGMfpf/
