I humbly admit, as a 75 year old, I do not understand most of this. Having been raised with reading 1984, Brave New World, and being Libertarian most of my life, I am a wary old woman who worries about the Godless younger people, and I see them in a couple of decades, replacing the Supreme Being with the Supreme Intelligence. Leave me alone to what intelligence God gave me, it has served me well in my life.
I'm personally ready for AI crap to crash and burn. Not so much because of the AI itself as much as the intolerable AI companies and CEO's absolutely wrecking the computer parts economy by buying up literally everything and having every las shred of resources get funneled into building them more overpriced chips for datacenters they don't even have the energy requirements to run.
I am also "soon" to be 75 on 25 Dec this year and I totally agree. The ONLY thing this "intelligence chase" is, is too see who gets their first, that is all!!!!!
Just a small NOTE: I have a motherboard that I am going to install shortly and it has AI built into it!!!!!....and being a engineer and programmer, I am going to have quite the fun!!!!!!

Imo they are introducing AI to the public and it has obviously been around for a long time. But the question is why? Then we have Elon going around saying that with AI everyone will be wealthy and not need to work. The guy is talking fkn nonsense is laughable.
An AI data center just raised Florida Electricity & water to the Taxpayers by $11 Billion dollars a few days ago. The free energy better appear because this project needs at least 3X times electricity/water of the existing power grid. The people can't pay 3X the utility rates, like Florida. Plus the BlackRocks of the world have been buying up Public Utilities , FOR WATER. This project BETTER get DETAILS ironed out. Because we are screwed as it stands now. Florida took it up the ass first.
