It doesn't really matter that much that gas is down. Diesel fuel has to come down, otherwise nothing else will come down. It costs too much money to get goods to market.
There are a lot of reasons prices haven't come down, but President Trump repeatedly saying how much cheaper everything is now is not true. Just like with the clot shot, he either needs to tell the truth or at least just stop taking about it. 95% of the time, I love hearing what he has to say, but there's still a little room for improvement.
Yeah I see no price drops. Until Israel is shut down and the FED is destroyed I find this "affordability is better now" narrative null and void. The only thing I see cheaper is gas.
Housing and rent is out of control. Get us back to the gold standard and I'll celebrate.
Ground beef at 3 lbs is still at 19 dollars where I live. I'll wait before passing judgment on this one. For almost 1 year, we've been struggling to buy groceries as everything has doubled in value and our weekly spending has doubled, despite us buying the same food, and that includes removing a few items from our list that we don't need.
Prices in general are still too high. Prices for most things costs 30-40% more than they did prior to CONVID. At this point there's no excuse other than the devaluation of currency. I simply wish the Trump administration would get back on the bandwagon of auditing the federal reserves and quit trying to convince people shit isn't still overpriced.
I'd like to know where the Washington ComPost staff are shopping. I haven't seen any dramatic price drops where I live.
Same. I love President Trump, but other than gas being down 20 cents and eggs down a little, nothing else is lower.

The price of diesel doesn't affect the prices of our goods that much. It would honestly be fairly miniscule.

I can't even find a job, at least not a real one. It's like nobody's hiring. The job market is stagnant right now.
Sounds right.
I was going to ask the same thing. There haven't been any price drops where I live. In fact, the prices just keep going up.
What? Groceries are the same or higher.
Sirloin at Costco
Pre COVID: $4.59
Now? $11.99
Q team needs to address housing and grocery prices otherwise we are completely screwed in the mid terms. There's no way around it.
Yes, beef is through the roof.
Sounds like they still shitting out fake news. Just because it sounds nice doesn’t make it true.
Good point. It is WaPo. I wonder what their angle is here?

This is posted after HAKEEM JEFFRIES over and over says prices are higher.
I definately have more money so i can still get what I need. My fav icecream came down 1.99. But some stuff is higher.

I have seen xtra large eggs drop from $4 to 2.19 a dozen but not a whole lot more.
I get fresh eggs for 3 dollars a dozen from my neighbor. They are five dollars at walmart.
