Meanwhile, unrelated to anything, I noticed something this morning watching the movie Quick Change with Randy Quaid. His character's name is Loomis, which was also the name of his character in The Wraith.
I can't think of any other actor that's had the same character name in two separate unrelated movies.

Why would President Trump let anyone else run? He's earned it, and since he was technically elected in 2020 but didn't serve, the American people owe him another term. It isn't fair that the only president in history to server more than 2 terms was a Democrat. Trump 2028 isn't a meme, it is about righting some historical wrongs.

Is anyone else having issues with their internet being slow as a freaking sloth today? It's so frustrating! Page loading is slow for me here and shopping online is becoming a nightmare, can't even buy my pups some toys & treats at the pet store online, because they don't have the stuff in store at the moment. My pups need toys & favorite treats for Christmas too 🤗🐶
I’m so frustrated with nothing in the stores. I do love the convenience of ordering online but it’s frustrating or clothes and shoes and having to return them. I hope it gets faster so you can get pups treats.
I’ve had crawling internet from the beginning. About a year ago we got a Verizon tower about a mile down the road & I rarely connect to our internet on my phone. But, in the last two months even the 5G was glitching. It didn’t matter what search engine I used, until I switched to Brave. For some reason it’s not as slow. I don’t like everything about it but it seems faster.
We ordered starlink and have been running it about two weeks. And now we believe brightspeed (should be brightcrawl) is bringing fiber. I leave the printer on and anything else that’s connected to WiFi. Before nothing that requires WiFi was on constantly except the TV. I highly recommend it. It’s a cost an upfront cost to order it. We wanted it for a long time and put it off because it cost more. Finally decided we were paying years for something useless. It was our Christmas present to each other. I don’t remember how much. It’s laying on the ground until we get a mounting bracket. Can’t imagine it getting any better. It’s in 200 range and for twenty years we have barely had a speed of 8.
My son got our Starlink about 5 years ago and we never looked back. It has run perfectly since, and, we kept it on our front lawn, there it sits, through snow rain ice and hail. He got it the same time I had spent thousands on a new roof, and I was worried about mounting it and causing issues with the roof, so we left it on the ground. The only maintenance it needs is keeping the grass short around it, and moving snow from around the edges of it when the snow gets deep, it melts all the ice off of it, as it does remain warm. It is a wise investment.
That’s a nice gift & great story! It’s good to know we didn’t make a mistake. My husband is big into cb, ham & gmrs radio & one side of the house has post in the ground with antennas. He will mount it on one of those poles. I created a monster. I told him for almost two years to get a cb in case the 💩 hit the fan. It’s cool as hard as he works he deserves to enjoy it.
My Dad was a ham! Talk about antennas, he bought this enormously high one, in a residential area in Queens. The neighbors freaked out some.
I bet they freaked out🤩 I used to love NYC area. Only been once during the late 80s for a day each time. Hope it gets cleaned up so I go again.
We don’t live in a neighborhood. All my family is side by side. In rural eastern NC. Antennas are the least of whats in this area. Neighbors across the one big family like us several homes. One guy shoots his gun all hours of the night. At least he’s not close enough for stray bullets. We shoot also but not at night. They gotta be drunk. We each own our own property. They don’t care. I’d rather see antenna farm than trash piles at a house. I know people like that.

You're making those suggestions like these aren't being controlled by the Deep State. 9.9.9.9 is owned by the Swiss, who we know are very untrustworthy. And Cloud Flair, really? They were built as a weapon to take down independent protestors who would try to take down websites by visiting them. For a while, it truly was We The People who ruled the internet. Now it is being scooped up and given to the elites.
I'm making that suggestion as an IT professional that has been in the field since the 90's
I'm making the suggestion as someone that knows ANY of those options are better than your default ISP DNS servers which your ISP SELLS YOUR BROWSING HABITS while not working nearly as well as those other suggestions.
I'm making that suggestion not for primarily security purposes (which are better than your Isp's anyways) but uptime, speed and reliability.
If we were talking about anonymous browsing and NOT downtime it would be different recommendations.

I'm going to wait till around 11 -11:30pm and try again to order dog stuff, see if the internet is not so bad then 🤞The thing is at petsmart if you are on their rewards program and activated their specials or whatever they call it, and spend $50+ you can get 5,000 points which is like $10 off coupon, if you spend $100+, you get 10,000 points which is like $20 off coupon. And if I play it right and order my purchases up between days then I can get about $40 worth of coupons. When you have 2 - 100 lb tanks to feed, it gets expensive, lol. And toys are not cheap either! Especially when you have a husband that gives them treats every time he walks past them or if the pups go over and stand by the treats, he gives them some.... not just one treat but multiple at a time 🙄😏 tosses them out like he's throwing beads out on a Mardi Gra float 😂
I can stand strong against my cats and my dogs with wanting the treats all the time, but the cats have obviously planned with the dog around it. The dog treats sit on top of the fridge, he has to work for them, and the I have one cat I have to put the treats in the fridge , he finds the little bag and carries it off and tears it open. He does share with my dog. Now, he found out that dog treats aint so bad, so, he will jump on the fridge, knock the bag over, and he and the dog enjoy the stolen dog jerky. There is no reason for this, everyone is well fed here, including the wild birds outdoors at the feeders. Not sure what they put in those treats, but it sure must be good.
