I used to like Chapelle's standup, and as a white person, I was not offended by his anti whitism and racism in the other direction. I expect this because that's been his whole career's schtick, to play with race.
But this john mccain thing says that the CIA intervened on behalf of Netlifx and made him incorporate this into his standup.
He also underscored the dwindling first amendment rights in the US, but all this does is irritate the right because they are the ones most subjected to the arbitrary, political restrictions on digital platforms, directed covertly by the US gov (ref: dr ayudarai's case against pre musk twitter, exposing DHS:CISA backdoor administrative twitter portal for shadobanning and deplatforming people).
Just because Chapelle has ONE right wing value: being anti Trans, doesn't make him remotely 'on our side' or a right winger. It's just enough right wing ism in order to make him more accessible to the right and less polarizing; but the 2ndary reason for the anti trans narrative is to frustrate the right by REMINDING THEM OF HOW THEY ARE BEING DISPROPORTIONATELY CENSORED on the internet.
And that's because it's not the left that control the digital / social media platforms, it's the intelligence community that does.

I dont know if you know who Jim Breuer is but hes a pretty funny comedian who slants hard right usually. He was in half baked with Dave. He eludes to some crazy shit about dave without actually saying it. From the way I heard it, he thinks Dave has been replaced when he disappeared a while back. He did not actually say it. He implied it.
Dave is a trend setter. I doubt he is a CIA controlled stooge. All I can say, if Denzel Washington turns out to be a pedophile I am moving to Mars. I think Denzel and Dave are good guys... and I ain't black. We are all so tired of people we trusted being attacked...and even worse, turning out to be solid bad guys. We do have to remember comedy is comedy.
Personally, I never gave a shit for Chappelles humor. Of course I'd be a fool to say he never said anything funny. He did. But meaningful? I have never taken him to be some sort of activist. Chris Rock had a lot of funny stuff early on. But even him, couldn't care less. There are about 5 comedians in history that had anything meaningful to share and I'd say they're all dead.

He did say something to the effect of he believes something is wrong… some conspiracy something or other. But sorta stresses not to say it’s for sure this thing or another. I did think that was good advice. We got a lot of matter of fact types out there with no real “proof” and that can be damaging when you’re trying to wake people up. To be clear it wasn’t a don’t look up sorta thing, more like bring some facts if you’re going to make claims. That’s how I interpreted it at least.
