Lew Rockwell and some Libertarians do not have a good sense of reason when it comes to the purpose of the USA and constitutional law. I’m glad that some libertarians supportive President Trump for the 2024 election after he listened to cryptocurrency advocates.
Lew Rockwell, what are you thinking? When ice agents are doing dangerous work, they and sheriffs can check to see who is bringing guns to do violence against agents. The woke left or not carrying guns just for the purpose of supporting the second amendment. what is wrong with you? Ever watch back to the future 3, where in the wild West, the sheriff has people check in their guns for a community event? If ice is doing a community event of protesting, while ice does their job sheriffs, and law-enforcement can have guns checked to prevent violence.

It’s running face first into the downside of Republicanism/Democracy. The reliance on the people. Most of the voting population aren’t absolutists by any stretch of the imagination. Even many gun owners aren’t. And generally don’t seem inclined to change dramatically.
A lot of 2A Absolutists regularly damage their own case in the court of public opinion. Either because they throw autistic hissy fits when something doesn’t go their way. IE “Trump didn’t revoke every gun control act day 1 he’s against the 2nd! REEEEEEE.” “Federal Agents wasted an armed leftist We’re next!” REEEEEEEE
Or they pull some stunt. That while technically legal is designed to deliberately provoke and ‘Trigger the normies’. Which doesn’t help with changing people’s opinions. As the downside with living in a Society with other people. Is you live in a society with other people.
The place to start with getting lasting changes through to put this all to bed permanently would ultimately be to get the majority of the general public on side with you again.
I used to be a small-l libertarian. Then I grew up.
The left's commies are taught to hold patriots to the absolute truth, and nitpick it to death.
On the other hand they are also taught to lie with very breath they take to try to demonize their opponents, and divide their patriot enemies.
The patriot's duty is to learn to recognize their bullshit immediately, and call them out on it.
