Aaron Spencer won the Republican primary for county sheriff in Lonoke County, Arkansas as he awaits his murder trial in a case that’s drawn national attention and shaped much of his campaign message.
That’s a good way to get my vote for sheriff.
Yeah he didn't win "despite" he won "because" lol
More Judges (including his) need to be made aware of Battle of Athens (1946)
Very good. I had to look Battle of Athens up
The 1946 Battle of Athens was an armed revolt in McMinn County, Tennessee, where WWII veterans overthrew a corrupt local political machine. On August 1–2, 1946, veterans besieged the county jail to secure ballot boxes after officials engaged in voter intimidation and fraud, ensuring an honest election without any casualties. Key Facts about the Battle of Athens: Context: Returning GIs found the local political machine, led by Sheriff Paul Cantrell, engaged in corruption, police brutality, and rigging elections to maintain power. The Incident: On election day, August 1, 1946, deputies arrested GI poll watchers and locked themselves in the jail with ballot boxes. The Siege: Approximately 60 to 200 veterans and citizens armed themselves, surrounded the jail, and exchanged gunfire with the deputies. Outcome: The, veterans used explosives to breach the jail, forcing the surrender of the officials. The ballots were counted, and the reform "G.I. Ticket" was elected. Significance: It is often cited as a triumph of democratic action against local tyranny, with the veterans’ actions ensuring that "every vote was counted as cast".

I think pretty soon there is going to be a change within a lot of police departments. Repeat offenders are a burden upon society and the cops understand that. So, some how, the perp will not make it to trial.
Recently, here in Missouri, we had two sheriff's deputies killed and two injured when the perp got into a running gun fight with 100 officers. He managed to hunker down in a house and picked off one deputy. Thus the sheriff decided to send in a BearCat and crush him. No announcement of "come out with your hands up" or anything. This guy was a blight on society and he soon found his way to somewhere.
If you talk to the cops, EMS personnel or even the local citizens, no body cares he was taken out. So, the cops are sick and tired of judges releasing them. So justice is being administered without the need of a jury. So be it!!!
This is how it used to be. No huge jails as the over-obvious guilty were dealt with. The only issue with that is liars and traitors can more easily kill the innocent and weak people, allowing the mob to do their dirty deads.
I support reduction in prisoner levels theough many things, as long as the innocent, or very likely innocent are not ignored and trampled in the process.
Because he may have killed his daughters rapist
Good point. Innocent until PROVEN guilty.
Well, that too I was actually trying to emphasise the word because. The reason he got the nomination or whatever it is, because Not despite
Or because too many judges don't know of Battle of Athens (1946)
AND WE LOVE HIM HERE!!!
Good for him! More people need to do this
I remember a man shooting the man sheriff's were escorting to or from court who kidnapped his son for like 8 years. On live tv. The man got off for killing the pedophile ! I think it was the 70s ?
Gary Plauche...1984
You must have a hell of a good memory. I wasn't even in the right decade.
I would 1000% vote for him. Much respect for this man. And if he's convinced, Trump needs to pardon him.
he has my vote. i vote by mail on this one.
His killing was justified when you consider the leniency meted out by judges today. Our judicial system repeatedly fails the victim and treads lightly on the criminal. We will only stand for so much abuse by the judicial system until we take punishment into our own hands. This father is a prime example of citizen justice and I believe many stand with this father. So these judges, who have been abusing their position and siding with criminals, might want to take a hard look at their own behaviors. Maybe one day they will be at the end of the citizens’ justice stick.
Careful next you will be calling Jury Nullification a GOOD thing.
Yes please. I want a rapist killer to be my sheriff.
WARMS MY ❤️
Fantastic. Could Imagine him running his department from the very jail he is Sherrif of.
Despite?!
