From my experience, none of them are ashamed of it. Most of them come from countries where socialized medicine is the norm, and it seems perfectly normal to them. If you ever explain how people who grew up in the US system with private insurance get medical care, it's foreign to them. (The fact that medical insurance has morphed into a huge convoluted scam doesn't help.)
By red carpet I meant a lot of stuff, not just the hospital care. I've met a lot of immigrants, even poor ones, that head back to their own countries if they need real medical care.
Damn. I needed an emergency room visit recently. Just got the bill. I owe $568 after insurance. And the bill warned that further bills from doctors and technicians could follow. Bastards. It's personal now and I am pissed.
I got a letter from blue cross blue shield. They want to know how I injured my ankle. They must think I hurt it at work or something. I am retired and my ankle is full of arthritis. I should tell them I was trying to get away from the fucking they gave me on my increase in insurance rates this year.
Bastards. BCBS used to be the best. Before Obama they were the best. I could buy the best plan for $39 a month less than 20 years ago. Things have changed. Medicare is almost $900 a month for us and we paid dearly for it.
Such a scam and we're stuck squarely in the middle of it. Damn Obama and his health insurance. That's when it started.
Especially if the hospital doctors are private and not part of your ins plan.
Hubs was Fed LEO- Regence sent a letter telling us which hospitals were in network, and then told us that the ER doctors the hospital contracted with were NOT IN NETWORK....go figure
I once went to the ER in downtown denver due to a gall bladder attack (I had major gallstones that eventually I got my gallbladder removed). I was in the worst pain in my life. It was at like 3 am.
The entire place was filled with illegals. ALL mexican illegals. I waited so long that the pain subsided enough for me to say said fuck it, I'm leaving. 2 hours sitting there in agony.
Yep, same here in WA state. We learned to try and wait it out at home, until we had no choice. Makes me mad as hell that my husband has had to suffer so much. Then we end up having to pay them thousand after insurance. Sick joke on us.
I hate to hear it, tell him I relate to him and wish him nothing but the best. I have health issues, paid 10k last year in health bills. Sick of this shit. I'm in my 30s and have a rare disease thanks to the cabal.
No- but it saves the bullshit billing.
ERs have to triage all- things that will get u in faster are heart and breathing related....or massive allergic rxn
I would say that's just Denver General, however every hospital in Denver is like that now. ER is dirty, feels like a third world country. I was the only one speaking English and had to wait 2 hours. I'm sure I was the only one paying too... paying out the a$$ for insurance, then also the 'deductibles" at the desk and afterwards. One lady came in riding a wheelchair, then to sign in at the desk (the front desk lady of course spoke perfect Mexican) she got up. Got priority service too over me and everyone else. I'm sure at this point, they are all coming in in wheelchairs.
I've known Mexicans "US citizens" that go to the hospital, give a fake name, say they're illegal and receive anything they need free of charge, no insurance needed.
I want all these stupid programs to end including NG0’s/ “profit” organizations and no more money for the world. They need to give us back our money. They use it for bad things to make deep staters rich like Soros, Rothschilds /families. Everybody took and still taking advantage of us Americans. Sick of this charity crap.
40yrs ago somewhere near Del Rio, I walked into an ER to drop my gf a hot plate from our corner taqueria with a ICE hat on. Over 100 snot noses in 80 chairs waiting. It was empty 5 minutes later. Empty parking lot to. Like roaches when the lights turned on. Even then they gamed the system.
OK. So both sides of the political isle are doing this? The uniparty is for real. 🤔 BTW, when people over the age of 65 have 5 or 6 incomes (military retirement, military disability, pensions from previous employers, social security, and currently holding down a job) something is wrong with the system. People in their 20's and 30's can't find work and if they do, $16.85 isn't really cutting it for them. Time for change. Sorry if this offends the over 65 crowd. I'm 52 and still fighting DEI. Psyop's over.

Well perhaps they should get a clue before they enter a country illegally and set their filthy selves up as entitled.
Obviously. But the first thing is to remove the red carpet the Democrats rolled out. It's slow, but it's happening.
It was rolled out by Reagan.
Look up EMTALA. Made all emergency rooms effectively free to anyone who couldn’t pay. They all get subsidized by anyone who can.
Probably why none of them can quote a price - their prices all depends on costs.
He did the amnesty too. Not good.

This. We obey the law. The garbage that comes here has no conscience and no clue.
You can't maintain a high trust society when you are importing the 3rd world by the millions. Even more so when you don't enforce any of the laws.
Oh and leftists font help, they said to them all the time they are entitled.

Perfect response if you ask me. Word for word.

I hope we come up with a cure quickly.
You and me both fren
The trick is to tell the ER you are uninsured....EMTALA act guarantees you will be helped... EMTALA MUST be reformed!
But does it get you ahead of the line of other uninsured?
No- but it saves the bullshit billing. ERs have to triage all- things that will get u in faster are heart and breathing related....or massive allergic rxn
Yeah they took my blood pressure and heart rate and said "go sit in line"

Sad
Every damn person who doesn't belong here is living a life of abundance.

When the gov't tells you, were all in the same boat.

And yet this is what demoncraps and RINOS are fighting for.

We all need ICE hats, lol.
Absolutely
