Brit, we know you love to portray a civil "journalist" on TV, but Trump is right. That old scumbag Mueller can no longer hurt innocent people, frame them for made-up crimes, or go on "fishing trips" trying to find dirt on average citizens.

But if you were a REAL journalist, you would have known that.

Trump has reasons to hate Robert Mueller.

But, Trump's petty comment (one of very many that he's said) is just another reason a lot of people dislike him.

I do wish he could have phrased it a little more eloquently while still making the same point... That would have accomplished both things while reducing criticisms.

Mueller headed the effort against Trump in the fraudulent Russia collusion lie, and he spent tens of millions of taxpayer money doing so. He finally admitted under oath, there never was ANY evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians. Too effing bad if Trump is still pissed that they tried to destroy him and his family.

Then there is this--- Robert Mueller has been accused of playing a role in keeping four innocent men—Peter Limone, Joseph Salvati, Henry Tameleo, and Louis Greco—imprisoned for decades to protect the FBI’s relationship with Whitey Bulger, a notorious Boston mobster and FBI informant. These men were wrongfully convicted in 1968 for the murder of Teddy Deegan, based on false testimony from FBI informant Joe "The Animal" Barboza, while the FBI withheld evidence proving their innocence.

Mueller’s involvement stems from his time as a federal prosecutor in Boston from 1982 to 1988, including a stint as acting U.S. Attorney. During the 1980s, Mueller wrote letters to the Massachusetts Parole Board opposing the release of the four men, even as evidence of their innocence and FBI misconduct mounted. Critics argue that this effort was part of a broader cover-up to conceal that FBI agents, including John Connolly and John Morris, were on Bulger’s payroll and had protected him in exchange for intelligence on rival crime families.

Alan Dershowitz and others have claimed Mueller was “right at the center” of the cover-up, asserting that he prioritized protecting the FBI’s informant network over justice. However, Nancy Gertner, the federal judge who presided over the wrongful imprisonment lawsuit, has publicly stated that there is no evidence Mueller was directly involved in the original frame-up or had knowledge of the full extent of the FBI’s corruption at the time.

In 2007, the U.S. government paid $101.8 million to the survivors and families of the deceased men after a federal court found the FBI and DOJ liable for their wrongful imprisonment. Two of the men, Tameleo and Greco, died in prison. While Mueller’s exact knowledge and intent remain debated, his actions in opposing their parole have fueled criticism about his commitment to transparency and justice.

Normally i would agree,that it's not good to speak I'll of the dead. In this case I assume Trump knows a lot more about him than we do.

Basically, as his testimony in Congress showed, he was suffering from age-related dementia and his NAME and REPUTATION were USED for an unwarranted investigation against President Trump. On some level he allowed it . . .

Well it's the truth, in any case, fully justified. We don't need the CiC to be anyone other than who and what he is. I personally appreciate direct and honest communication. There's no guesswork or assumption required. Clarity is a good thing. Maybe someone will look into why he would say such a thing. Even one seeker of information would justify the perceptual necessity.
