I remember being able to meet my relatives flying in, by going to THE GATE itself and watching them land and getting off the plane. That was 2000.
Just had to walk through the metal detector, that's it.
Get rid of the useless TSA, bring back private security. Get rid of the scammy body scanners.
As teenagers, we used to go to the airport and walk around for 'fun'. Still had to go through the metal detector, but you could walk out to the gates. Days of old...

back in the 1980s a friend of the family did security at the airport. According to her The only time anything was checked by security was when the FBI showed up on a tip. Drugs and guns could of been moving through her check point and she would be clueless because her job was only to check the ticket and the id. there was no training for the job and it was close to minimum wage and if she stopped anyone for security concerns she could loose her job if the person complained to the airline.
I had girlfriend in 1985 that was a "security" person at a major US airport. Minimum wage job for a minimally qualified person.
She did get to wear a nice purple colored blazer though.
"An armed society is a polite society," because baddies know there's a chance they could be blown away if they were to try some shenanigans.

Just what is the TSA preventing? The terminals themselves are soft targets for terrorist attacks. Drones deployed near airports could easily take an airplane down and kill everybody on board. Cargo loaded onto domestic airplanes is not checked and could easily be laden with explosives.
I hope this is the first step in getting rid of the TSA because it's completely unnecessary, highly costly (nearly a billion dollars a month) and hated by 99% of the population.
It's time to demolish the Police State that sprang up after the 911 Inside Job and the TSA is a good start..

unfortunately, we probably do need some kinda metal detection with air travel, as with all travel, but i wonder how many more criminals could be found by running the passenger lists through the fbi data files, like they do for cruise ships...actually saw fbi arrest a passenger when we landed back in port one time...
A pleasant experience?
I have a third-hand account to share from someone who is in The Big Club. He traveled by private jet. He and his luggage were never checked by security. When traveling internationally the border guard would wave him through with a smile and a "good day sir". There was no scrutiny of his passport. He admitted the upper echelon of Davos and Bilderberg crowds traveled the same way. He knew that travel could be like this for everyone, but it isn't, deliberately.
The purpose of the TSA and like agencies around the world, he said, was "to wear us down."
That may not be the only reason but I believe it is part of it. A worn down populace lacks the spare energy to unite and oppose peasant status. I suppose the easy life also provides incentive for newcomers to join The Big Club, when invited.
Perfect! This will make so many libs mad. And perhaps a few illegals will be caught along the way. Plus, ICE will be able to report back on how the TSA does their job, and perhaps make improvements.

Traveled last week and thanked them for showing up. One told me of a certain congress representative who asked how they were doing. Made a remark of well I guess we decide when you get paid.
This could be a move against human trafficking, and against illegal immigrants moving freely.
I'm not sure if it were ever allowed for illegal immigrants to fly in the US when TSA was in charge, but if that were the case it is certainly ending now.

prediction when ice starts to nab illegals at the airport and catch other illegal activity like drug smuggling the money needed for tsa at the air port will be found and used to fund the airport by the Democrat party but trump will then keep an ice present at the airport witch the democrat party will then be constantly attacking

The Austin Bergstrom Airport has a large number of foreign born employees, who appear to wear a hijab, but at least their face is not covered up. I've always wondered how long it would be until they wore their faces covered and we would never know the identity in the event of an act of terror. Texas didn't used to be a favorite destination for Muslims, but that seems to be changing.
