He says what he really means. I don't have to agree with what he says, but he means it and doesn't flip flop like the rest depending on which way the political wind blows. He is one of the few Dems that hasn't been taken over by TDS. Could probably sit down and have a decent intelligent discussion with the man. I do know some Dems like that. We don't agree on most things. But that is all it is - disagreements. Beyond that, they are good friends.
In the days of Washington's Henry Jackson (Senate 1950s-1980s) and Warren Magnuson (Senate 1940s-1980s), Fetterman would have totally fit in. They were democrats and soft new-dealers, but not insane lunatics; they were actually rational actors.
I praise Fetterman for being honest, loyal, decorous, and showing integrity. With him, disputes on policy are only disputes on policy, not calls for revolution. Before you can hope for good laws, you must start with good men.
What if his "stroke" was actually a plea bargain with the military tribunal where in return for his life, he had to subject himself to be a human guinea pig in an experimental cure for leftism? If so, seems like a very promising breakthrough.

It is indeed refreshing. Especially amid today's political turmoil. It would be easier to go with the flow but he seems to be walking a higher ground.
