My North Pole sources say that if their boss starts distributing his gifts to the bad politicians around the country (world), that those reserves will be reduced significantly after December 24th.....
Encouraging and I think we should aggressively use it. But we desperately need to re-invest in nuclear power plants. Ideally, thorium nuclear power plants. Enormous electrical output, safer, and with far less hazardous end products.
Cheap power is the foundation of a healthy economy.
The main advantage of thorium is that there is more of it in nature than uranium...but there is plenty of uranium. Especially if we use reprocessing to recover the bred plutonium present in used fuel. Thorium has its own family of engineering headaches and is not a panacea.
You may need to read up more about it. I was always wondering about this supposed reduction of waste products and it seems to be an accounting trick. It apparently does result in less production of waste actinides, but not in fission products. But the waste actinides from regular reactors can be easily recovered by reprocessing into uranium and plutonium as new fuel, and the amount of fission products is about the same (as one would expect). A thorium reactor requires conventional fuel to get started, as thorium does not produce sufficient spontaneous neutrons and itself is not fissionable. The process hinges on the breeding of U-233 as fuel, accompanied by some U-232, which is highly radioactive. It is a different fuel system with its own problems and requirements.
The proponents also like to invoke new and different reactor design concepts, but those would have to be developed and worked out before committing them to production. The more you get into the details, the less apparent the other virtues seem to be. Thorium is good to have and good to use, but we have no shortage of uranium, so there is no urgency. It is not a panacea.
If God didn't want us to use coal... he wouldn't have put it close to the surface and concentrated in easily accessible deposits, he wouldn't have given coal a high BTU energy content and he wouldn't have made the by-products of burning coal (such as fly ash for concrete, bottom ash for cinder blocks, gypsum for drywall and boiler slag for asphalt roof shingles and sandblasting grit) as useful as they are.
It's clear that humans were meant to use coal. Otherwise, God would have either not created it, dispersed coal so that mining it is expensive and non-productive, or buried it so deep in the Earth that it cannot be accessed.
I'd rather have CLEAN aether energy harvested from the atmosphere...free and NOT dirty nasty coal or oil. If "the world controllers" could manage it, they would put a price on every breath of air you breath. The dumbing down of society is amazing...the civilization before us did not use coal or oil, I've researched Tartaria alot and can only find a system within "Old World" buildings that connected everything together for using frequency and harmonics to create the massive energy these people had...MIT Professor JOHN TRUMP knew this from N. TESLA, as EDISON and others, were formulating the GRIFT of Coal, Oil, Electricity as We know it $$$....We can have that world again, and quit living the LIE they've placed in our brains!
Naturally, the perfect nonexistent source of energy is tops. Dr. Trump assessed Tesla's papers as not being of scientific interest or military concern. Sunlight and wind are totally "free," but the power is available only at a price. You need to learn a lesson from that.
I know quite a bit about what I am talking about: nuclear power engineering, energy conversion, Nikola Tesla, radiant power transmission, etc. This is both graduate level engineering and advanced system design experience over 40 years.

Coal is found under 2/3 of Illinois.
I leaned that from a rest stop on the interstate.
That is the known coal because there are many undiscovered pockets yet to be discovered too.

Thorium is the climate change of nuclear. Just 10 more years!
I will not embrace cynicism.

Far more advantages of thorium over uranium than abundance. Safety and half-life of waste products are significant advantages.

And when the 600 years is up, Joe Biden will have become coal.
And since it’s formed daily….probably much more than is realized.
It just depends upon the grade but yes coal formation is continuing and ongoing due to the earth's tectonic processes.
Old data showed about the same thing decades ago. It's not really new information.
Wonder if that includes all the planned data centers
Good. Let's go for it since all humans will be dead from climate change before then. /s

I keep getting told, even by at least one big X account on our side, that "we began phasing out (coal) 20 years ago."
This was in regards to the decline of West Virginia.
That didn't sound right at all.

Now. As you were saying...?
