My understanding --
Post WW2, the military had "X2" which was an operation for "stay behinds."
The stay behinds were military intel that would stay in Europe, living in certain countries as low key spies, supposedly (and maybe genuinely) to keep tabs on potential communist groups forming in Europe, and try to keep them from gaining any footing.
Once the CIA got going, the X2 intel operation went to the CIA and became known as "Operation Gladio."
Gladio was a spy network to watch the communist threat.
It started in Europe, but quickly expanded into Asia, Western Hemisphere, and ultimately became a worldwide spy network to keep tabs on communism.
Indonesia and Vietnam were of particular interest in Asia. Obama's grandparents were CIA and his mother was likely, too, along with her husband, the Indonesian who was Barry's step-pops.
Of course, Vietman became a war-torn area, as did some others in Central America.
My belief is that some of these CIA assholes realized that if they could influence/control politics in mulitple countries around the world, they could do it in the USA, too.
THIS is the foundation of the "Deep State" in USA.
Obama was likely a CIA asset, with a communist background.
Early Gladio was anti-communist, but it morphed into pushing communisim, as the globalists love communism because they believe it can ultimately lead to one world governmet, with "them" in control.
Look up some video interviews of Sibel Edmonds, who wrote "Classified Woman," because she knows Gladio very well.
Another great resource is John Perkins, "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" -- not Gladio specific, but he details how the globalist operation basically functions, including blackmail, assassination, regime change and overtrhrow, etc., all from the perspective of a seemingly "respectable" big corporate engineer.
