One of the things I'd point out?

The SF branch is our best.

They are the cream that rose to top.

I just got a tour of JBLM.

First Special Forces Group, base.

My BIL said his protoge was on base, but we missed him.

The guy on every sign was not there.

No biggie, my bil is legit. No need for base confirmation.

My wife and I went there this year and it was pretty incredible.

The French tried to build the canal first. They intended to dig a trench the entire width of the country, but gave up because of difficulty and cost in money and men.

10's of thousands died from malaria.

After the French gave up, President Theodore Roosevelt gave out the call for engineering solutions and an engineer came up with the idea of instead of digging a trench across Panama, create a man made lake that spans that distance.

Then create a 3 lock system on Atlantic and Pacific side. The lake is higher than the ocean, so the boats have to be raised to enter the lake and lowered to enter the ocean.

Also, a doctor was working on the malaria issue and figured out it was from mosquitos and they bred in standing water. So, they began spraying insecticide and dealing with standing water, which dramatically decreased the deaths.

Before construction began there was a deal struck between the Panamanian Governor and Roosevelt. Let us build the canal and we own and operate it and we will give you independence from Columbia, which Panama wanted.

Obviously, Columbia was not going give Panama their independence, so Roosevelt told the President of Columbia, allow Panama to secede or the USA will send the Navy and wipe out all their coastal fleet. Then Marines will be sent in and we are taking all of Columbia.

Panama was granted their independence.

My wife and I visited the old locks, but if you have a chance, visit the new locks, which handle the really big boats.

You do not need permission to visit Atlantic new lock system, but it's in a high crime part of country and not recommended.

The Pacific new lock system is recommended, but you need to get visit approval before going.

That is awesome! Just a fyi on angels. The name angel is Latin for messenger. They only act on God's word.

They never act independently of Christ. (Other than Lucifer)

So, here is my thinking on having a Michael pendent.

God? Please, have this guardian watching over me.

Thanks!

I gave everyone loved a St Michael pendant this Christmas.

As a Christian, I am ready and at peace to die, but my time is not up yet.

Want to fight in the material world, still.

As such, want Arch angel Michael by my side in these battles. So many demons, but he loves kicking their ass in the material world!

I corrected myself already. BTW, 2 N's, not1.

Up voted for putting N in there in case I never came back to post.

Thanks!

100%, the people that say the sun gives us planetary heat are absolute morons.

Everyone knows it is cattle and their farts.

Come on people, wake TFU!

That was such a stupid thing for us to do.

The actors that did it?

Putin will bide his time till Trump in office, but will want his pound of flesh.

Whoever was involved in this assassination?

Make sure you have everything in order.

Agree 100%. Few leaders turn down the power he and Washington were offered.

Sorry for typo. Friggin fat fingers.

Cincinnatus is his name.

One of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen.

Very similar to Washington, but from the "ancient world".

Find it very interesting that History channel and all the other documentaries never mention him.

Been 30 years since I read the Rise and Fall by Gibbons, but do not remember Cincinnatus being discussed there as well.

Need to read that again.

Was listening to Joe Rogan and he said "Biden and Harris are the last managers working for Blockbuster Video."

That we know how to fight on a modern battlefield.

We have retard officers and old BS legacy weapon systems.

It is a joke.

Our ISR and EW is 20 years behind Russia.

We send people to their death, if fighting today.

Truth.

Talked to my mother

She did not remember the incident, but said this.

"Your father protected both me and you kids from so much. Often, I had PTSD. Your Father always rescued me"

6 kids and a cruel world. It is hard for a parent.

Russia has a technological advance over us, that we feel compelled to show our tech.

Here is the thing.

When we pushed Ukraine to do the counter offensive with our supplied tanks and the German tanks?

Yeah, stopped believing.

They should fire probably 90% of people that work for VA.

My Father lived an additional 5 years, because the govt paid for a really good cardiologist outside the VA.

Why?

He served during Vietnam War and even though it was only 2 years of service?

Once dying and informed by others? He took advantage.

He worked the system to great effect, but guess what.

We have probably over a million Vets being ignored and treated like shit.

Probably millions.

The VA is a shithole. But, once you get outside of it and have new care?

All is good.

So true and a great point. We should care about the kids coming across the border.

Yes, my father scalped him. When the guy rode off?

My Dad was left with a bunch of hair and his scalp.

It is the reason for explaining that my dad was a Botswain. Older navy guys would understand.

When those older guys lead a deck? Those ww2 and vietnam era boats?

They were HARD men. My dad was pretty soft, compared to his chiefs at the time, but compared to today?

Super hard man.

I am very lucky to have been born to a man that could smoke a cig and drink a beer on the porch, but know.

Know, when danger was present.

Pretty sure this is impossible and not accurate, unless our quantum advancement has been concealed for last 30 to 40 years.

Knowing the insufferable ego and vanity of physicists, lol.

Nah
