I don't think it's really worth it though, compared to just letting it die off or be maintained as a moderate/neutral platform. It also doesn't really fit the narrative of being something great for the country in the last 100 years.
Trump creating his own party would basically mean Desantes would be uncontested for the Rep in 2024. This could mean moderates jump to vote Desantes with the never-Trumpers just because they don't want Trump to win.
I definitely think things could get so insanely awesome that even we don't expect it. But being jaded and as zen as possible, I share you skepticism.

I think a lot of the restraint also is that people believe there is a legal remedy for the issues, albeit a very slow battle. And that is preferable to the alternative.
Full civil w would be catastrophic with regard to any number of foreign powers who would love to swoop in and claim the US for themselves, or install their leaders. And it wouldn't just be China, it could be the UK, NATO, Russia, Mexico, any number of countries would love to pounce or carve up the US, or "reclaim their prior territories".
People need to consider the consequences of open civil war in the streets.
