I feelas though it was always comms. Meant to make you fall in love with the surface character, while telling a different story beneath. In other news, I doubt he's actually dead. Someone is, but I wonder if not him.

Yeah that's what happened with my husband...he STRONGLY discouraged them. There were 3 of 8 (yes 8 kids) who wanted to...those were some long conversations.

same. Lots of guys like him, tho. I wish them all the best. Hope they can all find a way to heal from these atrocities.

I appreciate that. It's alot to keep in. Weighs on a person. Ptsd, paranoia, antisocial stuff, just knowing the world you're walking into is so darn ignorant. He wanted a cabin in the woods so badly after all that...I wish we'd done it now. Now he's had ten strokes and alot of amnesia. I'm afraid to ask if he remembers about the military stuff and I probably never will. Sometimes dementia / amnesia I think can be a blessing in disguise. But he still tears up every time any patriotic song comes on the radio.

This is what tears me up. My husband served in a special ops capacity. He believed it was right. And quickly, he found out the things they had us doing were morally and ethically wrong, and only served ppl in suits looking to make money. Later on as the kids got older, they would ask him to come and stand up with the other veterans at their school vets day ceremonies. He absolutely refused. He felt betrayed and used. Nobody should have to feel that way based on a bunch of lies. It's heartbreaking as hell.

Let's let the Lord do His thing on his clock. Not ours.
