If you hadn't said you age, I would assume you were a dear friend from school that I helped though many struggles.

I worked with lots of at risk youth in my 20s. Many times those teen kids just needed an outside adult who they looked up to to be there as a sounding board & get the parents involved in good communication. Those kids always knew they could call me, any time & I would come get them, but they would always go home once they sobered up to discuss it with their parents. The parents loved having an adult that was willing to help their kid that they just couldn't connect with anymore.

Prayers going out to you u/grtdayn

If I go back about 8-9 generations I have some, though I can't recall which country it came from. Germanic or Goth, though I am likely remembering that wrong.

Yes! I knew there was a reason my catholic neighbors always counting my steps behind me on the morning walk! I should tell them we have machines for that & they can convert to a new hobby 😅

I have had it in our home as well. Great grandparents came off the boat. My mother was half Irish, and my grandpa always told her she needed to find a good Irish man... Then she found my mutt father LOL

I have often wanted to go to Ireland to see where my roots are out there.

So sorry for your loss.

I was just looking at the X Rays with my dentist with teeth that remineralized (ie certain cavities/weak parts grew back)!

Dr Jen toothpaste. Look it up. He was telling me not all nHAp (nano-Hydroxyapatite) is the same & it has now become a buzz word for toothpastes.

He has verified that Dr Jen does have enough of the reminleralizing agent to rebuild lost enamel & help fill in small divits that will turn into cavities. This is the only toothpaste that guarantees 10% in their containers.

https://drjennatural.com/collections/toothpaste

He has been amazed at how well it works, having used flouride varnish in the past & hated giving his patients flouride, but "it had to be done" on some patients. This should make it so he never needs to do another flouride varnish again.

The key is to let this toothpaste sit on your teeth after flossing. He suggested brushing normally, water floss (for gum health) and then rinse. After all of that do a final bush with a small amount do Dr Jen toothpaste & leave it on your teeth at least once per day. I have a couple children that need it twice per day because their teeth just Breakdown due to the saliva in their mouths alone. I am hoping there is good improvement in 6 MO this because my son is o his way to dentures by the time he is 20 if we can't get his teeth to remineralize. This gives us some real hope. There is another method that could be used, though it is really expensive & the insurances will not cover it.

Yes! Thank you so much! I have a dentist that has been allowing real science to lead their practice for decades & they asked me about boron today. This give cited sources & will really help.

On a side note, they told me about a product that he has seen clients successfully remineralize teeth with, a toothpaste with 10% nHAp (nono-hydroxyapatite). He was saying I needed to be careful because this has now become a buzz term & many tooth care products don't actually remineralize teeth (ie build up the enamel again). He suggested the Dr. Jen paste because he knows it works. Anything else you just need to text for 6 months to see if it really is reminleralizing. I figure some good reviews on Amazon (like 100+) may be a good place to look for a cheaper product that may work well, though I have a child with teeth that just wear away & won't keep the enamel built up. Just picked some of the Dr. Jen today & will see if it can reverse the damage.

Thank you! I have been looking for studies on boron. I have a dentist who is interested in this.

Started taking boron capsules & it has changed my life!

I can't find the boron study by the Dr in Australia. Do you happen to know where I can find that?

That is what I am hoping is made clear. Specifically to confirm if the shot came through the throat & out the back of the head. It seemed so from some photos & other info I had read once. I can't recall details, it was enough I though the driver, or shotgun was the killer after seeing the picture.

Fiar enough. I have worked multiple conventions & worked around all sorts of interesting characters as a result. Maybe it was just the area I live in & the conventions here, I just didn't see it. I would certainly classify the vast majority of the furry community here as socially inept/weird, though the costumes provide a perfect disguise for predators & I had not considered it until I started digging on the problems Q addressed.

Granted I also recognize many LARPers are weird, though the boffer fighters I hang out with have been generally pretty cool, all things considered. Granted we all recognize ourselves for what we are, nerds who never really grew up. Sure we work, pay out bills, raise awesome children, but we still play pretend & can laugh at the silliness of it all. The vast majority of our group also recognizes there are a few that take it way too seriously & have helped those socially awkward kids develop into productive adults that just needed some good mentors (many coming from single mother homes).

There was only ever one event I attended where a guy was creeping on an underage girl. I don't know why a few of us didn't end up in prison. Word probably spread in pedo circles to stay away from our sport/game, I don't know what happened to that guy, but the sheriff who hauled him off said it was good he fell off a boulder & down the hill before he seriously hurt any kids.

Each community needs to keep their eyes out for these predators & I just figured most would.

Good for you keeping your child safe. It is what good father's do IMO

So does this apply to every grade level, or just secondary schools? I know many children in K-4 that are constantly pretending to be animals or fantasy creatures in games they play on the playground. Though these kids are learning humans back in the classroom.

Having hung onto hookers' weak side during college, I am wondering if a turd that big required a ruck over from your ex's wrath & if that cat decided it couldn't come home because "reasons".

When Old Patriot said, "I Know I Needed It!!!", I figured they likely found it somewhere else.

Also how many times have frogs gotten after each other for FB posts? That said, I haven't seen them post to links that could be making them a paytriot & according to a moderator (link below), they are following the rules 99% of the time & deeply knows their stuff about GAW.

With those 5 up votes, there seem to be at least 4 others who would appreciate some sort of link, I just don't happen to be one that worried on a post like this. I didn't feel a need to prod deeper. Though if I did, I would have asked them for the sauce & then thanked them when they provided it.

If Old Patriot truly is old & computer use is a secondary (recently acquired) skill set for them, then I can give it a pass. Having worked with thousands of elderly, teaching them how to use a plethora of programs on a variety of OSes, it can be difficult for them to remember everything unless a check list is written down (that is where I saw the most success) & a reminder of how to accomplish each of those steps is readily available.

I grew up using & loving tech (DOS & GBasic being my initial interaction platform). Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V, along with many other keyboard shortcuts are second nature to me, Though I was blessed with a PC in my home, while most kids my own age didn't have one until we were almost teenagers. I was suprised at how many didn't have access to a computer unless they were at school.

Ultimately there are other things that irk me more than this, but to each their own 😊

Thank you for putting this into perspective. It reminds me of all the stories my great grandparents would tell us & the stories my mother raised me on to encourage us to take care of what we had, because we didn't know when another would come along (always referencing the WW1 & Great Depression times).

We certainly have our own challenges today, but they are a very different set of challenges & at leat my family isn't having those same physical battles & challenges of those times. Battling in the war for minds & souls is where I would rather be, though my mom just wants a TV with a knob she can more easily understand. I am so glad she & my father strongly encouraged me to learn teach as young as they did.

I am wondering if this isn't some sort of comm revolving around NATO? Maybe there isn't enough money in their government (see waste) to fund their fair share of NATO, or maybe it is a comm about not cutting back food/social services to meed their agreed amount?

No idea really, but it is just weird how these things often line up with other political issues going on at the time.

It is a comment one of my mothers grandma's made when she started sewing. An honest bobbin (thread holder on the bottom of a machine) was true & didn't buch up. The deceitful or bad bobbin was one where she couldn't get the tension right.

My mom enjoyed teaching her own grandmother about the machine when she would visit.

I just enjoyed the name. If any of my siblings or cousins ever saw this name or account, the next family reunion would turn into that spiderman meme 😆
