Are they really revolutionizing anything? They talk about disrupting the market, but they are using existing software, with existing towers.
They could build a phone OS from the ground up running linux - it wouldnt support all of the already existing phone apps, but who really cares? If its running linux, then it could technically run any application outside of the super restrictive apple/android apps. Maybe thats a thing that only power/dev users like myself would appreciate.
I guess the key is they are making the phones here in America, and honestly, not really sure thats entirely possible at the moment - how many parts are going to be imported? Is it really made in america, or is it just assembled here?
There are so many rare earth materials that go into making a phone that makes me doubt it will be entirely manufactured here.
