I assume you will see tax breaks like everyone else.
It is based on tax brackets.
Everyone making less than 80k will see a 15% tax reduction from the current tax rate.
If you make 104K, you will see a 15% tax reduction on the first 80k, you will pay the normal tax rate on the remaining 24k.
Then if you do any overtime, that is tax free regardless how much you make.
I don't know a single person who claimed all their tips. They haven't been paying taxes anyway. Not knocking the bill, just dated a lot of waitresses in my youth.
Taxation on anything you already own (like income, or "capital gains", or property, etc.) is thievery. It's not complicated. A tax cut, other than "set to zero tax", is a criminal act; a violation of an Inalienable Right (a Right given by God).
Why are we lauding "Less thievery" as some great thing?

So, it turns out the no tax on over time is bullshit. It still gets taxed. You just get to play the game at the end of the year to file a return and hope the government sees fit to return the money they never should have taken in the first place. The government should not be allowed a no interest loan from you every year.
This does absolutely nothing to help the American worker who is struggling paycheck to paycheck get ahead. I have no idea how much more complicated it's going to get when filing your taxes, having to keep track of every hour worked to find out which hours are taxable and which aren't. I'm extremely disappointed, GOP. Do fucking better.

You tell them how much to withhold when you fill out your W-4. Write down 99 and they won't withhold any. Then the onus is on you for how much you should set aside for taxes.

Don't be surprised if the Senators play stupid Senate games with the bill, add or remove stuff, and force it to go back to the House. Any changes require the House to re-vote.
Don't short sell the reconciliation process. That's the part of any new bill where they reconcile the differences between the House version and the Senate version by taking out anything that benefits We, The People.

They should register how much each of us has paid in, factor in investment gains and put it into our own accounts. These are good things no doubt, but I am a single man, no retirement thanks to 9/11 and the 08 Subprime market collapse. I make a good wage, but I live in CA. Can't afford a home of my own...too old to buy one now anyway...but taxes are absolutely killing me! I received a much needed bonus last December and the FEDs took 25% right off the top! After the state I got a little more than 1/2 the bonus! Power to tax is the power to control! This "Big, beautiful bill" does squat for me!

Unfortunately not really. There are some subsidy cuts but not enough to kill it. The biggest sticking point is EVs, which the US is going to continue to push over gas vehicles to beat China and Europe in auto manufacturing. If they want to bring back the auto industry, they'll have to invest there.
Oh, I notice democrats want to keep taxing us. That should be a key talking point in next years mudterms.

Petrodollar 2.0 - Trump's middle east deals and making everyone buy oil in USD again, means strengthening the US dollar AND as Trump clearly stated regarding anyone supporting BRICS - they won't be doing business in the US. BRICS is cabal disguised as freedom from USD/central banks.
Returning to a gold backed dollar. This means, holding a paper or digital USD is as good as gold. The dollar will be wildly popular - Chinese middle class will stuff their mattresses with them... BECAUSE you can cash them in for gold physical. Now, there is nothing definitive on this YET - but I believe it's coming. Trump, Bessent and Ludnick have all either hinted at it or came out and said it. But just pull up a chair and imagine for a second with me... imagine a gold backed dollar. The price of gold is global and stable - not impossible, but hard to manipulate. But no more insane printing dollars, watering down the supply and stealing generational wealth any more and your MONEY NOT CURRENCY has real buying power again.
I believe these two things are what are going to REALLY make America Great Again!
Why do I believe this will happen? A few reasons...
Trump's legacy is VERY important to him & it's important to him that he not only does his family proud, but he does America proud. Anyone should be able to clearly see this & understand that while his bust on Mt Rushmore would be neat, returning the US to real money again would be the defining Hallmark of his presidency. He would be right up there with Andrew Jackson. That's major... and I believe, the ultimate goal.
